3 years ago....Never Forget

The attacks on the WTC happened. That was an awful day in American history (even in the world, I suppose). This day is always hard to be happy on. I remember being in school and all we did, all day, was just watch CNN. It was all over the place.

It was horrible.

Here we are 3 years later and we still haven't found Bin Laden and we're at war with Iraq. On September 10th, 2001 we [America] thought were unstopable. Nobody could hurt us, this bad. Well they did.

I thought a post about it would be ok, considering it's just a post. I still am amazed at the NY firefighters who, without even thinking twice, ran into the building to save anyone and everyone they could. It's amazing. They are the true heros, the true idols. Not Kevin Garnett. Not Kobe Bryant. Not any sports star. People who give up their live to save others for a living.

Don't get me wrong, I idolize sports athetlics like many people in the world but after 9/11 I'm thinking more and more about the REAL heros in this world. The armed forces, police and fire fighters. They signed up and go to work everyday not knowing if they get back the next day.

Picture that fire fighter that was going to work like a normal day on september, 11th...and never came home.

America will never be the same again. Maybe the people are going back to normal, but the country isn't.

It's funny how countries we're behind us during this time (9-11) and now everyone is back to hating us. Just because it was 3 years ago doesn't mean it has gone away or erased from our memories. We're still suffering from it, the whole world still is. It sent ripple effects throughout the world economy. I think 9/11 had a HUGE impact on the economy today...I don't think it's all Bush's fault.

Some people want to play the blame game but that is just stupid. When the fire fighters and the police men ran into the buildings they weren't pointing fingers. I count my blessings more and more these days because of this. I hope everyone who had something to do with this pays a price. Especially, Bin Laden...

september 11 was unreal.. i remember waking up and having my parents tell me one of the buildings got knocked down.. then actually turning it on and watching it on tv.. i was actually kinda scared even though i live in canada.. the school was pretty much in shock too.. thats pretty much what we talked about all day and the next week.. seeing clips of people jump off the buildings was crazy too, i can't imagine what it would've been like being them..

3 years has past and i still cant believe they haven't caught bin laden.. he's been in afghanistan for how long? it seriously can't be that hard to find him with that many troops can it?

Im still shocked about Beslan, what is it about september.
I still remember exactly what i was doing and exactly how i felt when i 1st found out about the WTC, i dont think i will ever be able to forget.
My thoughts go out to all those familys that lost loved ones, to all the kids that lost mums & dads and to all the parents that lost sons & daughters.

Sad, sad day. My heart still goes out to all the victims at the WTC, Pentagon, and the field in Pensylvania (It was Pensylvania right?) And also to all those people that have suffered from a terrorist atack.

My dad flys all over the place and works in different places for a living and I can remember friends coming up to me and saying "where was your dad flying?" Thankfully it was Phoenix. BTW because of that we have 600,000 + air miles.

Oi...i may sound like some pussy but I cried when I saw thos buildings collapse, I cried when I saw people jumping out, I cried while watching this documentery made for the firefighters. They gave their lives away and it's real sad. It was all in the line of duty. Most of them knew once they went in there was a small chance of getting out.

man- it made me feel so sad when they interviewed the families and the workmates. Especially this guys who let his friend go first...and he died. His friend was so sad man.

Damn Bin Laden. Whevever he is now. Even killing him won't do anything for the world today. Not for all of those innocent lives lost and the families suffering. Man... ur right but whats good with killing Bin Laden... one of him isnt worth so many people. If we can destroy Al-Qaeda... that is our main goal man!

This is not propaganda... but I believe that America really should team up with China. It would make both of us stronger. China can protect Asia, America can look after their area... and Europe has their own union. It wouild be a step towards peace. Even though it won't be in the near future. But I'm crossing my fingers for it!

We also need to remember what has happened these past two weeks. Beslan was terrible man... terrible. There is still trouble in Israel and Palestine... and also Iraq is becoming just a bad bad place to be... and please remeber the Australian embasy bombing a few days ago. Sure... 9 people died but they were still lives lost.

Everyone needs to remeber 9-11... peace everyone

yeah, it was a sad day. i remember it was late night (im live on the other side of the planet) and was channel surfing and stumbled upon cnn and fox and saw videos of the wtc crashing down. and the morning after, it was all over the news. good thing my relatives in NY are safe.

but im having fun today though. just came from watching a college bball game live! too bad my school lost plus im gonna go to a party tonight!

Yesterday, a friend of mine was taken to the hospital because of a cerebral haemorrhage. To be honest, a thing like that is a lot worse for me than a terrorist attack.
In the middle east, busses get blown up almost every day, there have been more people killed there than in the 9-11 disaster. Yet, because it's in the USA, it's a lot worse.

Why is this such a horrible attack? Because it came out of no where. There was no war going on between us, at that time. They sucker punched us. Yes, they have sucicde bombers everyday and those are horrible too but they are in war. This was just an attack on us from the blind side. Not only did thousands of lives get lost but the World Trade Centers went crashing down. Those were important buildings in the world economy.

We felt we couldn't be hurt and for a good reason. It seemed like nobody would dare stand up and attack America. And guess what? They did. They did it damn well too. Which pisses me off because I was ignorant before september 11th...everyone was.

My uncle is a pilot and his main routes are Boston to LA. We thought he was one of the pilots because he wasn't his phone and neither was his wife. We all thought we lost him...

But he took a vacation without telling us and was Alabama when it happened.

The Pentagon...it's one of our most important buildings in America. It just amazes me.

And those Heros on the flight 93 that crashed into the field. Great work. Sorry if is wored wrong because I don't know how else to put it but when they died, they should have held their head up high. They just saved thousands of lives most likely.

9/11 is so horrible because it came out of no where. They didn't attack us in miltary personal. All terrorist attacks are horrible but I feel this one is the worse by far.

Maybe because I'm American I feel this way but that's my whole point. Some people are just look at the politics. Stop it. If this was Canada would you care more? Would you have more respect for it? It shouldn't matter. Something completely horrible happened and some people died going to work, going on vacation and performing their jobs.

I was in school that fateful day. Less than an hour after I had arrived, the first plane hit the WTC. And then the second one hit. And then the third. The teachers did know what was going on; they were not allowed to tell anyone for fear that it may cause chaos; so I did not learn of the attacks until I arrived home at 2:30P.M. after school. My friend walked home with me, and we watched CNN after my mom told me that there was an attack on America. I couldn't stop watching CNN for about a week and a half. It affected all of us. I thought we were immune to such attacks. I thought wrong. America will never forget.

my father was on a business trip on that week..i still remember he called us suddenly..and told us that theres an aeroplane crashed into the WTC....me and my mum were shock..as my father was living in a hotel just a few streets away from WTC...after that we watched the news and knew what happen...i still have that photo..my father took at 910...he was standing below the twin tower...posing like as if he was as big as the tower...but who knows..even the biggest tower will tumble...i still feel sorry for the people...those who lost their families...friends..its just a day that no one will forget
