We've been together for 5 years in August....I think we're doing allright

LOL. No offense taken, I know that most people are really really dumb at 21, and you have no reason to think otherwise

But we are certainly not rushing into anything like kids, etc. That is a LONG way off.

Oh, and, heh...no ring

We're too poor for that right now. We have love and that's all that counts. I suppose I could go out in the garden and get her an actual rock, that might actually be cute. :lol:

Lol why do people think getting married at 21 is too early? It's not as if he just met her in Vegas and got married two days later, and they've been together 5 years... what more do you want?

Hope it goes well, do the romantic thing and get her the ring pull from a can of Pepsi. It has to be Pepsi, that's more important than the actual marriage. Very very important.

And thanks for the support on the age thing, I really don't understand 21 being too young either, if both people are actually mature (which, admittedly, in most cases they won't be). Please though, I don't wanna start an age debate here- so let's just leave the age thing at that...Start another thread if you must :lol:

Oh, and I thought that I might get the argument from someone that since we've been together for so long, that we didn't ever have experience dating other people, that's incorrect. After one year, we kind of split for a while and dated other people, and then 2 years after that we agreed that we should 'explore our options' just to make sure that we were right...and we came back together with no regrets both times

We are truly a rarity, I guess. I feel lucky, and quite blessed
