nbalive.org has been down a few times since i know it (like 2 or 3 in the last 6 months).
Why does it go down so often?

I don't think it is down that often. I know of many other sites that are down a lot more than nbalive.org. Most of the time it is down because it has exceeded it's bandwidth limits. It costs money to run a server and nbalive.org has limited funds from donations. If people don't donate then the funds run out and the sever goes down. We are working on getting more sponsorship deals and have recently signed up with google to help support the site. Hopefully this will mean more up time for the site. There have been reasons that the site has gone down the few times. Once a few months ago it was because some sites were leaching the patches on nbalive.org. This past month it is partly because the mail server was flooded with email viruses. There are lots of other factors which most people don't care about..

Ok I have rambled on enough.. all I can say is we are working hard to make nbalive.org bigger and better.. the growth and popularity of the site has exeeded our expectations and we are now working hard to meet demand.. and all we ask in return is for your support and patience..

Thanks
David
