I am not a fan of this move. Lou is a good scorer, but his prescence might dampen Clarkson`s development. I think Clarkson should be backup to both guard positions.

Talent-wise, it's a good acquisition. Even though they have some young players that they want to develop at guard, having a proven veteran around is a good safety net. If the young guys don't pan out, they have Williams. If the young guys prove themselves capable, they'll find a taker for Williams, or he'll transition into a smaller role until his contract is up.

on paper, the Lakers just landed themselves the reigning 6th man of the year at about 10% cost on payroll. That makes it sound a little more palatable. Hope the Lakers can get to 40+ wins to attract better FA talent next off season.
