Vince Carter has agreed to a three-year, $12M deal with Memphis, league source tells Yahoo Sports.

That's a fairly reasonable deal, he can still contribute. Tough break for the Mavericks, who will probably miss out on Parsons as well. Still, that leaves them with a fair amount of cap room to work with.

Although he came up big at times recently for Mavs, he is replaceable so no biggie.

Unless the Mavs get another guy that can play SG/SF off the bench like Carter does, yeah but there is no one in free agency right now that does that sixth man role.
