http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/stor ... les-lakersThe Houston Rockets have traded guard Jeremy Lin and a future first-round pick to the Los Angeles Lakers, a league source told ESPN's Jeff Goodman.
Why do the Lakers always wind up with all the stars?
Sat Jul 12, 2014 6:18 am
Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Hell, please don't!
Sat Jul 12, 2014 6:31 am
So what do the Rockets get in return other than less asian fans?
Sat Jul 12, 2014 7:32 am
Bosh, lol silly NovU
Wade to Bulls, cmooooon
Sat Jul 12, 2014 7:38 am
Wade's knees plus Rose's knees are still equal to two knees. Sounds good enough for me!
Sat Jul 12, 2014 7:53 am
Does Bosh staying in Houston change this deal?
Please?
Sat Jul 12, 2014 9:35 am
For any Lakers fans who aren't thrilled about the move, consider that Lin has an expiring contract worth close to $15 million. Potentially useful come the trade deadline, or worst case scenario, off the books next offseason.
Sat Jul 12, 2014 9:39 am
That's the only plus. And the asian fan-base, I guess.
Just...free agency after a stinkfest and our main get is...Jeremy Lin?

WTF Jim...wtf.

Bosh re-signed with Miami. That was the initial thought process though.

i actually think this is a great deal for the lakers. they missed this year in free agency so why not get ready for next. sell some jerseys in the process and pick up and extra draft pick. i dont see how any laker fan could be against this deal at this point.

Exactly.
It's a bit too late for this trade imo
They should have traded for that Asik/Lin combo while D'Antoni was still coaching to see if they could rekindle Lin's magical run plus Nash can teach him a thing or two about running the system.
But I'm glad he's finally out of Houston who didn't want him and fuck McHale who is a hater like Melo & Woodson. Also glad it wasn't to that shithole Philadelphia

i am jealous i wish boston could of been gifted lin and a draft pick lol
Sat Jul 12, 2014 2:13 pm
You've stockpiled draft picks then you want more? Come on.
Lin in a Lakers jersey is a lot better than a 76ers jersey.

Sauru wants all the picks for the first round.

its true. funny (not really) story, several years ago while playing one of the madden games i kept making trade after trade with my patriots team. i kept my core of like 4 players but pretty much gutted the team trying to see how many draft picks i could get. i ended up having the top 7 picks in the draft that season. so yeah you can say i may bit a bit obsessed with draft picks

Rockets did change, for worst.

Superb trade for Lakers, woeful for Rockets who have dropped the ball again.

they did what they had to do to sign bosh but it seems bosh was just using them to force a max from miami. i think bosh knew lebron was leaving

I'm sure you won't find any proof. I'm also sure you're absolutely right about that.

Love it.

Maybe I'm missing something, but to me, Lin is a decent player, a career backup, nothing more. He had that magical run in NY playing in Pringles' system, which was perfect for him. But Linsanity hasn't been the same since.

Damn Melo jinxed Lin
