I was looking at new players @ NBA.com 4 my roster update and I came to to this guy --> Jerald Honeycutt. The guy is not actually new he began to play in the league in the 97-98 season, anyway he is
6'9" and weights
265lbs (!), and the funny thing is that he is forward-guard, think about it. The normal shoting guard is like 6-6 210lbs, and here comes a 6-9 265lbs monster, thats more than 100pounds than AI
Thought many think NBA.com is bullshiting on the height and weight info.
Anyway the guy seems pretty good, I have looked at all stats from his preseasons games, and the guy can actually score! I don't remember the ppg (didn't save the stats) but it was like 8points on 22minuts or something. thats really good! It will be insteresting to see his stats in when the season has gone a on for a while
Anyone seen this guy play?

He's bounced around the league and the CBA, maybe even the NBDL. He was a scorer in the CBA. But just no good in the NBA. Takes bad shots, doesn't hit em. He was a second rounder out of Tulane. Was big then to 245. He was their leading scorer. Not sure if anyone has beat it.

I find it weird how some guards like T-Mac who is 6 8' plays a guard position and then a guy like desmond who is smaller and faster and shorter (5 5')plays forward most often. Why can't T-Mac fight with the big guys like Desmond at the forward postion.

Because he's a slasher...shooter...dribbler...offense directer. Shooting guard suits him best.

Well its the same thing with AI, he is about 6'1" and he playes SG though his size is pointguard. Its not only the size that decide which position to play it's also the skill of the player. Take Charles Barkley, he was like 6'5 and played Power Forward, cuz he was a great at rebounding

the SG, SF, PF are all just titles for fans to name the players by, its not like NBA2003 where a pg must pring the ball up. In the game Im sure most of u all withh know, a C can be pg if he can, its all about the play that the team is running and players ability, in Boston they can run a play were lafrance will get a 3 but on lakers they cant do that, T-mac can a and does play SF SG and PG so does Mason plyes SG, depends on the play and on the matchups.
by the way what happend with DeMar Johnson? he was 6'9 SG? last i saw he was waived by phionex?

We can't forget about the greatest "big guard" of all time...
Magic Johnson was tall as a small center, and he played as center sometimes.

Yeah, he was like 6'9"-6'10" I think.
