Magic sign Channing Frye for $32 million over 4 years

Veteran forward Channing Frye has agreed to a four-year, $32 million deal with the Orlando Magic, a source confirmed to ESPN.com's Ramona Shelburne.

Not the worst contract we've ever seen as Frye is a decent enough player, but a little pricey all the same. Comparing it to the Clippers' signing of Spencer Hawes, another big with three point range, this was far less of a shrewd move.

Well the Magic are in the middle of a rebuilding process and are well below the cap. They can gamble on trying to ship Frye once his contract is about to expire.
Still it's a lot of money and I agree that Hawes' contract makes more sense.

This is looking similar to what Phoenix did when they signed him. Rebuilding, can afford to gamble. It got the nowhere and it's easy to say this won't either(Magic wise).
