Nets hire Lionel Hollins as new head coach

Hollins' deal could be worth as much as 4 years, $20 million if the team picks up his fourth-year option, a source told ESPN.com's Ramona Shelburne.

A good hiring, but he's inheriting an aging roster with its share of question marks. I wouldn't set the bar too high.

Hollins is a good coach but whether Brooklyn is able to even make the playoffs - let alone the second round again, depends on the team's health. Not a bad signing, though I wouldn't be surprised to see him fired in season #2 if the team implodes;

Hope Hollins implement his Grit-and-Grind philisophy. The most fascinating part of Hollins's job is how he's going to use the "potential" of Brook Lopez. The last center he coached was Marc Gasol, who won the Defensive Player of the Year. So a little Hollins magic to Lopez and he'll be one of the top 10 centers in the league

The consistency of the Nets, what 4/5 coaches in like 2/3 seasons? might be the curse of DWill struck again this time lol. Well actually he's the coach I prefer after Sloan last off-season(before the JKidd and the trades become the news). But w/ the roster still hanging, don't know what to expect.
