Durant, Wade Exchange Words On Social Media

Thu Sep 26, 2013 1:51 pm

Kevin Durant and Dwyane Wade have exchanged words on social media following the release of the NBA's top players from Sports Illustrated.

Durant said in an interview that James Harden should be in the top-10 instead of Wade.

Wade posted a photo of a handwritten note on his Instagram account. It read: "9-24-13: Kevin Durant said James Harden should replace me in the top 10 .... Note to self: Make him respect your place in history .. -- again ..." It was accompanied by a statement from Wade that read: "Don't believe me just watch."

Durant replied to Wade's on Twitter.

"Show me don't tweet me," said Durant.

I believe that should be "said Durant".

In any case, nice to see some competitive fire and a few barbs being exchanged. Should add a little something extra when they meet this season.

This, of course, is a complete coincidence:

Friendly blows between good buddies. But ofc it helps media building up the rivalry between two teams. I personally would have liked it more if this was between Kobrick and Lebrick.

"You are too short"...Durant should refresh his memory when it comes to exchanging words with Three.

NovU, Kobe is too cool get involved in stuff like this.

He prolly could say that for entire players in the league. It still irks me how Durant is a 7 foot SF. He's taller than anyone on the Heat roster outside of kneeless Oden.

I looked up the definition of "twit" once, it means to taunt. So they have the right idea of "twitting".

How does that work? If all this was a ruse, it will surely do them some bad marketing.

For what it's worth, Durant's contract with Gatorade isn't being renewed.

In their pre-camp interviews with CSNHouston.com, both Dwight Howard and James Harden said the feud was legit — and yes Harden said yes, he is a Top 10 player.

Ethan J. Skolnick wrote:Asked if the back and forth with Durant was a joke, Dwyane Wade smiled and said "no."

Durant was asked on Friday about his feud with Wade and decided to offer some praise of the Miami Heat guard.

“Dwyane Wade is a great, great player, man,” Durant said via Eye on Basketball’s Royce Young. “I’m not discrediting anything he’s done or nothing like that. I just voiced my opinion. He’s a great, great player. Finals MVP and champion. I didn’t mean to disrespect that or take that away or anything. I just voiced my opinion as of today. I love you D-Wade, man. It’s just competition.”

The thing is, if Westbrook said such a thing, it would be immense 'cause the battle would be on. But Durant said it & nothing shiny there 'cause his battle is with King James.

maybe if durant can find a player like lebron to hide behind he will have his own ring. then again he could just learn to flop really good and hope to play a team the nba hates in the finals
