LeBron James TOO BIG for Traffic

LeBron James is too damn famous to sit in traffic like a regular person ... so he used a police escort to get him where he needed to go -- which happened to be a Jay Z / Justin Timberlake concert.

The Miami Heat star posted a video of the detour on Instagram Friday night. As it plays you can see LeBron following a cop car with blinking lights down the wrong side of a street in Miami ... successfully bypassing the massive traffic jam to his right.

He added the caption
"They treat us so well. Needed it cause traffic was nuts!!"
It's unclear how LeBron managed to pull this off -- but his Instagram moniker is KingJames.

Some may see this as a troubling example of celebrity worship but hey, at least LeBron is incredibly good at something. This isn't an elevator in a five star hotel rushing back to the ground floor because "Kevin Federline is in the building"; an elevator that Drew Barrymore was in at the time, no less.

I'm pretty sure it's been a few years since I pulled out that anecdote as told by Seth MacFarlane, so I'm not over quota.

LeBron is a dumb fuck for bragging about it though. My first thought was that he didn't really mature which I thought he did after all these years. This is kind of stuff that angers me more than quitting on CLE craps, taking advantage of his fame, using people who are supposed to be busy and serving for citizens to do something totally meaningless like getting him to Jay Z crapcert, and then talking like he deserves it in the vid. When you're as TOO BIG as LeBron James you're bound to have the personal contact numbers of a few law enforcement officers serving in the area you work and live in.

It most likely involves some kind of pocketbook thing.

I am now guessing it's also the work of Jay Z. I think he's a powerful influential person who can actually pull this kind of bureaucratic moves.

The cops just escorted him to the concert, that's all. And how long did that escort actually take? At max, 1 hour? That could have been doughnut hour.

The "elite" should not be able to commander public resources for personal use anymore than any other citizen. Especially when their doing so does things like shut down traffic.

These things are more important in the long term scope than in any immediate short term effect. It helps promote a two-tier society and culture. The police already have a long difficult struggle with this concept and encouraging it is not just financially harmful but literally dangerous.

Anyone involved in this should be fired and prosecuted. We'll start the charges with "misuse of public funds" and pile on anything else we can attach from there. For LeBron and his entourage we'll start with "conspiracy" and do the same. You know, to make sure there's no double standard.

Absolutely people should be fired for this. The police are public servants with specific general purpose tasks, these tasks do not include being an escort for the elite and especially do not include shutting down a PUBLIC thoroughfare for the benefit of the elite. This is literally the definition of "misuse of public funds" in most places.
