Indiana Pacers assistant Brian Shaw confirmed in a text message to USA TODAY Sports that he has an agreement to become the Denver Nuggets head coach.
Source. That's a great hiring, they've got a talented team & I think Shaw is going to be a fantastic coach. Players seem to take a liking to him & I think he was the best passer in to the post while he was with LA. Wish him all the best, it sucks he didn't get to take over when Phil left. Best of luck B-Shaw!

For a while now, it seems like he's been the assistant that everyone feels is ready for a head coaching gig, so certainly a promising hire for the Nuggets. Best of luck to him indeed, though I feel George Karl kind of got a raw deal.

Ownership wanted to go cheap, so they dropped the GM (Ujiri) and Karl, both supposedly have excellent working relations with each other.
