Jeff Hornacek has agreed in principle to become the next head coach of the Phoenix Suns. Despite those personal moves (general manager Lance Blanks has been dismissed last month), I don't think the Suns will be able to be instantly successful because of that changes. Their roster needs some major upgrades and winning in the Western Conference won't get any easier next season too.

That's not an easy first head coaching gig. Unless the Suns can make a couple of decent moves and some of the younger players start coming into their own, he might not have a particularly long tenure as the blame always ends up on the coach when there's a losing season or two. That said, best of luck to him; it's cool to see another player from the 90s get a shot at coaching in the league.

If he manages to fix Beasley's head then he's an instant CotY candidate.
