Grizzlies will continue to overachieve and beat the Spurs in 6 maybe 7 games.

Tough call. I keep waiting for the Spurs to collapse as they have done more often than not in the years since their last title and the Grizzlies have been pretty good throughout the year, so I don't want to sell them short. All the same, it's difficult to pick against the Spurs here, so I'll take them in six very competitive games.

Can go either way in 6 or 7 games. But I'm picking the Grizzlies in 7.

Riding the bandwagon. Hoping for the Grizzlies inside duo to kill the Heat in the Finals. Grizzlies in 7.

Seriously, so many people saying Grizzlies? They shouldn't have reached the Finals at the first place, Spurs in 6.

I think it's probably the fact that the Spurs have come up short for the past six seasons for one reason or another, include an upset at the hands of the Grizzlies in the first round in 2011. There's probably an expectation that they'll let the series slip away and fall short of the Finals once again, leading to more people picking the Grizzlies than one might expect.

And if they somehow make it to the Finals facing Heat, everybody will see them as angels. But if Spurs do, I think some people will go for Heat.

It's an odd number year today. Spurs has a high chance of entering the Finals.

Odd year vs. the presence of Tracy McGrady (though they are obviously out of the first round). Tough call.

For some reason, the Spurs were always one of my favorite teams in the league. Perhaps because Duncan and Pop are so likable. That's one reason I really can't root for Memphis. Another major reason is me being an ex-boyfriend who got dumped kinda stuff. When I was a kid, I was a true DIEHARD Grizzlies fan. Those were probably the only days in my life where I just loved a team with pure heart and innocence(if such thing ever exists LoL). And I was hooked on a Live Series game(forgot which but had Mitch Richmond on cover) at that time and had blast playing Grizzlies in that game as a kid. The best basketball game/days of my life as well. But one day, everything ended all of sudden. The Grizzlies deserted me completely, breaking my heart to pieces. As a bitchy ex-husband who got cheated on, I hope she the Grizzlies gets raped by good fellas from the Spurs.

Or you just hop on the band wagon of any team with some success.

Spurs in 6, their big men can handle the front court of Memphis.

Even if that was the case I don't really consider bandwagoning a bad thing anyways. I will prolly stop being a Heat fan anytime like if the organization does something that's against my belief. I don't have a hometeam to root for anyways.

Everyone has to jump on a bandwagon at some point. It's more a case of whether you're a fair weather fan and/or constantly jumping on another bandwagon while proclaiming to be the biggest, lifelong fan. On the grand scale of Bad Things Human Beings Can Do, that's obviously very low, but within sporting culture it's not an approach that's looked upon favourably.

No, we don't. Some of us can support actual talent like the 2013/2012 Miami Heat or 2007/2005/2003/1999 San Antonio Spurs or 2004 Detroit Pistons or 1989/1988 Detroit Pistons from the start.

The real bandwagoners are those who support the Lakers. Or the Bulls. Or the Celtics. Win a few titles in the 1980s/1990s/2000s and suddenly it's "cool" to root for the worst most offensive teams.

At least bandwagoners aren't Knicks fans though.

i gotta say, oakland fans are the most loyal fans, they still cheer for the raiders and warriors no matter how much they suck

Spurs almost let Game 2 slip away, though it made for a fun finish and overtime period. The flagrant foul on Ginobili that helped Memphis tie things up in regulation was a bit weak though; Tony Allen did a good job of selling a blow to the head that was quite obviously non-existent on the replay, so I'm surprised they didn't overturn that call.

Griz down by 2. Would OKC have been too? No, I don't think so. But that's just the way it is...

Quite possibly, seeing as though they'd have been without Westbrook. They were also down 0-2 to the Spurs last year before winning four straight to advance to the Finals.
