Brooklyn: 49 wins / 33 losses
Chicago: 45 wins / 37 losses
No Rose yet...
Thu Apr 18, 2013 6:29 pm
the Bulls have a high chance of taking this one, but it won't be easy
Thu Apr 18, 2013 8:38 pm
Nets in 6, that court is just so sexy I need to see more of it.
Thu Apr 18, 2013 10:31 pm
Nets in 7
Thu Apr 18, 2013 10:52 pm
Bulls in 7 want to see another BullsHeat series even without Rose.
Fri Apr 19, 2013 1:39 am
Bulls hit Nets in 6. Want to see BullsHeat again.
BTW, why there's a vote for I want this to be a respect thread?

It's a pretty good match-up. I'd say 55% chance that the Nets would win, and a 45% chance that the Bulls would win.

Is Noah healthy? A lot of it depends on him, if he's healthy I'd say Bulls in 7.
Fri Apr 19, 2013 9:08 am
Bulls in 6.

I'm picking the Bulls in six as well. I figured I'd be in the minority there, but so far that's the most popular prediction. I was leaning towards the Nets until it was mentioned during the Lakers/Rockets game yesterday that the Bulls are 3-1 against them this year. While the Playoffs are a different beast and that 3-1 regular season series could be rendered moot very quickly, it suggests that even shorthanded, the Bulls have a shot of matching up with them and getting the job done. I think they can take it on their homecourt in six games, but they're unlikely to get the job done if it goes the distance in Brooklyn.

Nets in 7.

That's uh..NovU's uh...

Gonna go with a well coached Bulls team than a 'star' loaded Nets roster.

Picked Bulls in 7. If Noah were healthy, I'd picked Bulls in 5, but without him (at least in game 1) and after loosing Asik, their interior defense isn't as strong as it has been in recent years.
Sun Apr 21, 2013 10:55 am
They're still one of the best teams in the league defensively (though it's not really showing so far in Game 1), I think the bigger problem is at the other end. Oftentimes, they just can't put points up on the board.
Sun Apr 21, 2013 1:26 pm
Well... it suxed to see such a lopsided game. And it even suxed more to see Noah limping and not running.
As for Wallace's confidence, it looked fine, real fine.

Nice playoff debut! loved the all black theme!

P.S. this is for that chicago tribune guy and those naysayers its gonna be no contest since we are the LOWLY NEW JERSEY NETS, the dumbest team, shm..

Nets played great, Bulls couldn't stop them inside and were, as they so often have been this season, offensively challenged. Still just one game, but they absolutely need to get the split if they want a chance of winning the series. At the very least, I hope they can make it a series, but an effort like that won't get the job done.

A well deserved win for the Nets.
I don't think they'll keep up that pace. Bulls sucked even more in the interor than I'd expected. I'm sure Thibs will make his adjustments and games will end much closer.

They looked as bad as they did in any of their blowout loses during the regular season. It was definitely a horrible performance no Bulls fan/player/organization would/should be happy to see for first impressions.

Noah will be playing in game 2. But still, no word from Rose. Now I'm pretty sure that he is gonna skip this season and make an effort to come back at a 100% next season.
Mon Apr 22, 2013 10:14 am
That's pretty much been the assumption for a couple of weeks now.
Mon Apr 22, 2013 1:17 pm
It's cool through. I don't really buy it that a Rose-just-come-back and Bulls crew right now can take on the Big3 anyway.
Mon Apr 22, 2013 7:48 pm
Yes, even if the Bulls make it through I don't see them toppling the Heat, with or without Rose. I'd rather Rose and the Bulls forego a token appearance on his part just to make the second round, since it means more time for him to rest up and be fully healed/confident on his surgically repaired knee.

Even without Rosh, I actually believed they were good enough to beat the Nets, not definitely but quite close. I mean the Bulls are proven bunch in playoffs while the Nets are newbs that just got together. But then Noah is limping and he has been the best Bulls this season. Just unfortunate.

Im going to have to reevaluate this series, what i seen in game 1 was absolutely embarrassing if your a Bull fan.I was going to go for Bulls in 5 but if the Nets can keep up the way they played in game 1 im gonna have to go for nets in game 7.
