Pretty fucking pissed that Memphis is out. Hopping from that bandwagon to the Celtics bandwagon (the life of a fan of a third-tier franchise). I got the Spurs in five though. The Clippers really aren't that good, and I think San Antonio will just be too much for them offensively.
Mon May 14, 2012 5:53 am
Spurs in 6.
Mon May 14, 2012 6:01 am
This is going to be interesting, two teams with great depth going at it, along with key match-ups at PG and PF.
Mon May 14, 2012 6:02 am
I'm pretty fucking happy the Memphis didn't make it, not that I am a Clippers or anything but it's Mike Heisley and Grizzlies being my ex-gf team who dumped me kinda thing. And you know I voted for. Might as well NovU come up with better jokes. He's soberer and funnier usually. Therefore the Spurs in 5.
Mon May 14, 2012 6:19 am
This might be another great series. San Antonio is deeper than the Clippers, but the matchups will be interesting to see. Parker vs Paul, Griffin vs Duncan(or will they put Duncan on DJ?). I think the Clippers learned a lot from the Memphis series, and may surprise San Antonio.
The Clippers have enough inside defense to keep the perimeter defenders from leaving the San Antonio bombers open and getting blown out from the perimeter, although they can stretch the defense and open up the inside. I really don't see the Spurs matching the Clippers physically or athletically, but as far as execution, skill, and experience the Spurs have the edge.
Clippers in 7. San Antonio is old and boring.
Mon May 14, 2012 7:05 am
I agree with what Pdub said and also go with Clips in 7. CP3 will run circles around Parker, BG will own Duncan, and the Spurs bench stretches it to 7 games, but falls short of beating the best point guard and third best power forward in the league.
Random prediction: Kawhi vs. Caron will be a really cool matchup to watch.

True, but I think they're the smarter team and are gonna get this one in 5 or 6. Since I can't decide which one though, Kia Optima in 6.
Mon May 14, 2012 9:14 am
Spurs in 5.
Mon May 14, 2012 9:19 am
Spurs in 5, though I am rooting for the Clippers, so hopefully I'm wrong. I was pretty sure the Grizzlies would take game 7 and Clippers came out and played their hearts out, I just hope they won't have any more let down games, like game 6, especially Blake.
Mon May 14, 2012 10:01 am
I voted for the fine engineering, fuel efficiency, comfortable interior, and spacious legroom of the Kia Optima.
I also would have voted to not let NovU make anymore playoff polls and instead leave it to the inebriated hipster if there was a poll option for it.

smh. Has college fried your brain cells or is it the uncollected trash that's clouding your thinking?
Spurs in 6. Awesome scumbag Chris Paul will carry the Clipps to 2 games, outside of him everyone will be trash.
Mon May 14, 2012 10:28 am
Spurs in 5. I believe Paul can will them to at least one win in the series to avoid being swept, but Griffin is hurting, Butler's playing with a broken hand and the Spurs are the deeper team. Like the Thunder/Lakers series, I believe it will more competitive than a 4-1 series would suggest, but it'll be the Spurs moving on.

Loloollol. The reason people can't hate you, grin. Or the very reason I despise and adore you at the same time.
Mon May 14, 2012 10:55 am
I'll take the Kia in 6
Mon May 14, 2012 2:33 pm
Like many other people, I got Spurs in 5. There is no way a hurt Blake Griffin can own Duncan. Experience will beat youth in this series for sure.

If I had a case of beer every time i've heard that then I would still be an alcoholic.

excellent post.
SPURS IN 5. DAMMIT I HOPE THEY KICK-ASS, I COULD HAVE VOTED SPURS IN 4 BUT I'LL GIVE THEM ONE GAME SINCE THEY BEAT MEMPHIS. FUCK. THEY BEAT MEMPHIS.
Wed May 16, 2012 7:47 pm
Damn,no love for the Spurs.
I would like to change my vote to 5 games.
Duncan 28 and 10.
Kawhi Leonard is impressing me more and more.
Chris Paul and Tony Parker were asleep tonight.
Wed May 16, 2012 7:49 pm
The Spurs are so boring the fans were leaving early. This is the playoffs.
Thu May 17, 2012 4:59 am
lol at Duncan's face when Blake tried to flop when they were in mid-court. Duncan has seen better flops from Ginobili.

I'll give them some. With the Bulls out, I wouldn't mind seeing the Spurs win it all so that Duncan picks up his fifth ring. Along with the Thunder, they feel like the frontrunners for the title at the moment and it seems quite possible that should they meet in the WCF as a fair few of us have predicted, the winner of that series will be the ones to go all the way.

The Spurs are so boring, nobody even wants to discuss the game.
I'll give it to them, though. They are wearing the injured Clippers down with the pick and roll game and the extra passes and most importantly with their physical defense. That is really taking Chris Paul out of the Clippers offense. Also, there is something wrong with Blake Griffin. He is either really fatigued or injured or both. He can't get much lift on his vertical.

I thought that the team who scores most points win the game. But it seems like the really winner is the team that had more dunks, choke more in the 4th quarter and yell more to the coach.

Going to Clippers-Spurs game again. If you happen to watch the game, I will be about 3 rows behind the Clippers bench in a read shirt.

You will be able to pick me out as I will be probably be facepalming and shaking my head several times throughout the game.
Sun May 20, 2012 2:36 am
Will look for you if I remember, though everyone will probably be in a red shirt or whatever color they hand out.
Sun May 20, 2012 3:46 am
Yeah, that was a joke.
