Was hoping for Lakers/Mavs, but this will do I guess. I think LA wins this rather easily. I like George Karl and the Nuggets, but even with the addition of Epic Vale, I don't see Denver being able to handle that Laker front line. Lake Show in 5.
Fri Apr 27, 2012 1:59 pm
Nuggets in 4 because I want to see MWP's suspension last into next year.
Fri Apr 27, 2012 2:32 pm
Lakers in 5. Nuggets have slipped in this 2nd half and I don't think they can bounce back.
Fri Apr 27, 2012 3:53 pm
After all MWP's suspension doesn't mean much. The Lakers in 6(so MWP can come back at just right time).
Fri Apr 27, 2012 7:04 pm
With or without MWP in the first round, I don't see the Lakers going down this early. The Nuggets looked pretty good early on but have come back to Earth as the season has gone on while the Lakers have picked up their game. Denver is outmatched in the series but having said that, I'll pick them to win a game at home, I think they're good enough for that at least.

Lakers in 4. Nuggets will have no answer for Bynum or Gasol.
Fri Apr 27, 2012 10:08 pm
Unless the Nuggets get them into foul trouble. (3rd in the league.) That levels the playing field since the Lakers have no depth and Denver is disgustingly deep.
Sat Apr 28, 2012 12:40 am
I'd love to see Denver advance, but I don't see them taking this further then 5-6 games.
Sat Apr 28, 2012 4:27 am
I see a thriller. Lakers in 7
Sat Apr 28, 2012 5:39 am
I think its safe to say Lakers in 6.
Sat Apr 28, 2012 1:42 pm
I like Lakers in 6 so that MWP can get back in the second round.
Sat Apr 28, 2012 3:43 pm
Lakes have Bynum & Gasol, which is the difference in this series. Lakes in 6 tough games.
Sat Apr 28, 2012 9:16 pm
Lakers in 6. They'll pretty much walk through the first round, while they're looking ahead to the Thunder matchup, but ultimately Bynum is the difference between these teams.
Sun Apr 29, 2012 7:53 am
Denver isn't one of the teams that people look up to as Championship contenders, so I'm saying Lakers at 5, Bynum vs McGee is going to be an interesting matchup, but it's pretty obvious that Bynum's gonna dominate, i'm also looking for sparks from Lawson, DG, Chandler and Manimal, so they could at least be cornerstones for a Denver bandwagon next year. Kobe's gonna bring the team up this series, with or without (without) Metta
Sun Apr 29, 2012 3:58 pm
I think the Nuggets can cause a lot of problems for the Lakers, so my homerism is going to say the Nuggets in 6. If Bynum and Gasol can get the ball off Kobe, then sure, they're probably a shoe-in, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was the first series Denver wins against the Lakers.
Also, I believe one of the options should have been "Perko 4 MVP"

Wilson Chandler is gone for the season thanks to a hip problem, but I'm also looking for the other three to make an impact. I'll also be interested to see how JaVale performs.

mcgee is no match to Bynum and Gasol.. i think session will step up.. so i say 5..
Mon Apr 30, 2012 7:40 am
This has been a playoffs full of blocks. Hibbert,Ibaka, and now Bynum.
Mon Apr 30, 2012 7:42 am
74-95 So far Lakers winning as expected
Mon Apr 30, 2012 7:58 am
Lakers played a great game almost wet myself watching
Mon Apr 30, 2012 9:08 am
If the Lakers can continue this style of play, they can afford to lose 1 game to Denver. That way, MWP can just miss 1 game in the 2nd round.
I dont think a sweep nor losing 2 games to Denver would be ideal, its just too risky.
Mon Apr 30, 2012 9:40 am
Scary scary Lakers.
Showed what they are capable of when they play a team basketball. Seems like Metta World Peace isn't that much missed.

Yeah, they were really concerned about losing those eight points and five bad shots a game.
Tue May 01, 2012 3:24 am
As long as Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol keeps performing like they did in game 1, the Lakers will win this series. Whether its in 5 or 6 games, Lakers are too big in the middle for the Nuggets to handle, i voted for the Lakers in 5 games to win this series.
Tue May 01, 2012 9:18 am
I agree they can handle the nuggets easily if the 2 starting Big Mans play like they did in Game 1
Tue May 01, 2012 4:15 pm
If the the Lakers can sweep the series, they should take it. That would give the Lakers some rest, and more time to study on how to defend OKC's and DAL's offense. Morevoer, Ebanks can can learn from MWP on how to defend Durant better (excluding the elbows).
If DAL can steal a game or two from OKC, Lakers would be much more healthy and prepared than the two teams coming out for the 2nd Round.
