2012 Playoffs: ("4") Celtics Vs. ("5") Hawks

(Celtics are the de facto 4 seed, though Hawks get homecourt advantage)

Should be an interesting series. Last year, the Hawks are awful in the regular season, but punked Orlando in the first round. The Celtics meanwhile sucked for most of the year, before they did what they always did and showed their true selves in the final month of the season to win the Atlantic.

I got Boston in 6. With no Horford for the Hawks, I think the Celtics are just the more talented team. Should be a close, but ugly series.

btw, anyone know why the NBA switched from T-Mobile to Sprint? I miss those Chuck & Shaq commercials.

C's in 7, long tough series to screw them over for the Bulls.

Atlanta continues to be that talented team who just doesn't have what it takes to finish the job. Celtics in 6.

I too will go with the Celtics in six. They're better than their record indicates, having thrown away a handful of games while resting key players for the postseason. They're a bit banged up but aside from the late slide while players have sat, they've been in good form since the All-Star break. Horford's unlikely to make it back, won't be at full strength if he does and the Hawks have some talent but not quite enough to get the job done.

Celtics have had problems with scoring and finishing games all season. Joe Johnson is finally playing like he cares a little bit. Hawks in six.

Celtics in 6, though I think it will be a very interesting series, wouldn't be surprised if the Hawks win.

Series could go either way, but with the C's reputation of playing better in the playoffs, I also predict them in six.

Not in Jared Dudley's house, not anywhere.... this series could really go either way, but for the sake of a prediction I'll say Celtics in 6.

If the Celtics can make Garnett effective like the game when they beat Miami this season, there is no doubt they can win it in 6.

Amen to that. I didn't notice that poll option, but Shaq totally ruins the chemistry of EJ, Kenny and Charles. Such an attention-seeker.

I liked Webber if they really want to have a fourth guy.

As for Shaq, look on the bright side. He's not Magic.

Agreed. For me, Kenny and Barkley were locks and Webber seemed to be a nice complementary guy to the team while Shaquille wants a spotlight to himself too often.

Shaq just doesn't seem to undertand group conversation dynamics. He seems to be all "me me me". But he could change i guess.

Celtics in 6. The Hawks will pinch a couple in Atlanta, but the Celtics will be ultimately too good.

I'm worried about the Celticd a bit now. But I still think they will win the series.

suck it, celtics fans. rondo sucks. it was a fair call by the ref. Bass goes over Smith's back to go for the ball and in the middle of the fight for the ball, his arm comes across Smith's face. Rondo should go back to doucheland or wherever he came from where they don't teach people how to hit jumpshots.

I have nothing against the Celtics but, just like last year the Hawks have a chip on their shoulder. They got their revenge against the Magic last year but now they finally get another shot at the Celtics after losing to them in 08. The Hawks are their matchup nightmare and you know they would love nothing more than to put the Celtics out in the first round.
