TJ Ford retiresI was watching that game and Baron was a bit reckless because they were down big and he was just shoving everybody. I don't like TJ Ford, but it sucks that he had to retire because of a guy who was out of control

Odd that I searched YouTube if anyone was able to upload that.

Yeah Baron was being a little bitch in that game.

Skip to the 9 minute mark.
FlashI am a bit worried now that we(the Spurs) do not have a solid back-up pg now.It is a sad situation for Ford though. Also it was officially called a stinger but i have a feeling it was a little bit more.I do not blame the guy.

When did 3 pts become a big lead?

Too bad. I really enjoyed his days back when he was the Raptors. Part of me wanted him to stay, not Jose Calderon but seems like the Raptors kept the right guy.

Yeah, because it's really worked out great for them.

Eh from the 5 minutes I watched I wouldn't say it was Baron Davis' fault at all. Not like it was an intentional push, just a little roughing around for a rebound. It's definitely unfortunate though.

I saw that game too. A shorter video of it:
Davis was a bit aggressive on that play, it was a hard hit, but I wouldn't say it was particularly dirty. In Ford's own words:
“If it’s anybody else, it’s just a regular play,” Ford said at a Spurs practice before Monday’s game against Washington. “But because of me and my condition, a simple elbow in the back has a different outcome than hitting someone else in the back.”
A shame to see anyone's career end like that but sounds like he's making the right call here.

the refs called a foul on Baron for pretty much shoving someone on a rebound the same way a few plays later

Sometimes they call it, sometimes they don't. Pretty much the way it goes in the paint.

It's a shame about the injuries. I thought he was going to become an all-star in Toronto, but he fell off the map after he took that hit from Horford in 08.

He had injury troubles and according to an article I read, doctors told him to retire like 5 years ago because of a spinal condition or something. It's sad, I always liked TJ Ford.
