New Jerseys for 2012

Sat Dec 10, 2011 11:21 am

Via SportsLogos.net:

The Utah Jazz unveiled a new green alternate jersey today at an open house event in Salt Lake City’s EnergySolutions Arena.

The new jersey is an homage to the green road jersey the team originally wore beginning with the 1981/82 season through the 1983-84 season.

Looks fine to me, seeing as how they've gone with the whole throwback look in their latest design change.

I like it. (Y)

Man the Jazz jerseys look so much better these days than they used to.

I think colours are good, just think the numbers need a colour trim around them.

One of the best jerseys that has ever existed: the color is great, the old-school style is to my liking and the note as the "J" of Jazz is one of the best ideas in any font.

X is right though.

I actually like those jerseys but the current design is a good example of a throwback concept done well. In contrast, I'm still a little iffy on the Wizards' new look and the jerseys the Warriors introduced last season.

Great to see a good throwback jersey.. Seems that the NBA is moving back in time!

Really? Wizards and Warriors jerseys are some of my favourite jerseys. I'm loving the retro looks. Makes it seem more prestigious or something.

I think those designs worked back in the day and they're nice to see on retro nights, but I actually preferred their previous, more modern designs in both cases. They're not awful, but to me they just feel a bit out of place as the contemporary jerseys.

You'll get used to it. ;)

I always do. They'll probably never be my favourite designs but I won't give them much of a thought beyond that.

Seems the Mavericks have a new alternate as well:

I like it, it's not really knew (only different colors), but I like the scheme of the colors. Still thinking that they should bring back a green alternate though.

I like it too, a nice reversal of the regular colour scheme. I thought the green one was alright too, though I've also seen it called one of the worst in the league.

That's horrible, but seeing as how the team is gonna suck this year, they need to conceal themselves as much as possible.
