whoa, 8 points only?! tmac not playing was definetely a factor, but i'd expect more off a team as talented as the us. argentina's real good, but it shouldnt be that close in my opinion.

This is the problem with Team USA:
When foreigners come over to play in the NBA, many of them have great offensive games, but they are very rarely good defenders. This is the edge Team USA SHOULD have against other Olympic teams.
However Team USA treats their games like an all-star game and lacks defensive intensity. They need to get a tape of the 1992 gold medal game and watch Jordan giving it his all on D. Team USA should play defense like they are battling for the NBA Championship. Then you will see them run over their opponents by 40ppg. They will limit their opponents ppg and they will generate fast-breaks.
