I want Kanter at 8, but there's no way in hell that happens. I do like Valanciunas as a Tyson Chandler-type, but I don't like waiting a year for that, and I like Bismack Biyombo, but he scares the shit out of me at the same time.

I like the idea of trading No. 8 to Houston if Valanciunas is there. Then the Pistons would get No. 14 and No. 23, where they could pick up Thompson/Biyombo/Hamilton and Vucevic.

I'd rather wait a year for a player who's actually played basketball at a level of relevance than one nobody knows anything about and who might not even be as good as LeBron.

In either case rumor is the Pistons gave a guarantee to Kawhi Leonard.

I actually have a safe feeling about him. He's not going to ever be great, but I think you can be a title contender with him as your swingman off the bench. Whatever they decide to do - especially if they draft Leonard or Walker - it's going to look a bit odd considering the roster is probably going to be overhauled.

Out of the three best centers in the draft, I hope at least one falls to 14 for Houston to snatch up. Probably not very likely, but either Valanciunas or Biyombo would be great. Maybe Rip's suggestion of receiving the 8th pick and trading away 14 and 23 to Detroit isn't so bad.

If not, get a swingman, either Marcus Morris, or Jordan Hamilton. I like Hamilton better, even though he's a SG, I think he can play SF in this league because he has the size and he can rebound pretty well, the problem is can he guard other SF's? Kawhi Leonard will likely be taken at that point, so realistically, Houston should take either Morris or Hamilton if they're available. That's assuming they don't trade both of their first round picks, though.

Cavs have to take Derrick Williams first and then Kemba Walker. Brandon Knight would be awesome too, but a leader like Kemba would be in more value.

About an hour more to go here before the draft, I didn't leave the house just to watch it and if someone asked why I'm absent I'll just blame it on some random floods caused by the rain that has been happening everyday.
ESPN better have The Stephen A. Smith on this one.

Checked DraftExpress and I love how a player like Enes Kanter, who barely has any scouted info, has a best/worst case player comparison while Ricky Rubio who has been strutting his stuff since 2008 has N/A for his best and worst case. I smell a media darling in Rubio.

nba.com about Enes Kanter, didn't bother watching the video...

Enes Kanter says his game is almost equal parts Dirk Nowitzki, Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol.

So he doesn't play defense, flops, can't stay out of foul trouble, and plays soft. Good for him.

Aww damn it. The preview in the station here said "tomorrow", didn't realize I was watching (the replay of an old game) past 12:00am already.
My mind was already made up to stay at home and stay at home I will. With the damn rain, it's hard to go out anywhere anyway unless you like to swim.
Even better, tomorrow's a non-working holiday in the country's capital! Long weekend! Celebrate!

Now back to my Enes Kanter hating...

Cavs should take a Irving & Kanter or Jonas. They need a better big man.

Bucks related rumours:

San Antonio apparently offered George Hill for #10
Bucks and Houston talking #10 for #14 and #23 (or 13, whichever one they have)
Knicks and Bucks talking #10 (would be used to pick Fredette) + Drew Gooden for #17 + Douglas + Turiaf
Bucks apparently going to pick one of Alec Burks, Klay Thompson, Marshon Brooks or Marcus Morris. Also would take Valanciunas if he fell to #10.

Wishing that the Mavs can get a steal in their pick

Fuck, I miss Rich Cho already. That trade lacks all sense that is common for Milwaukee and Excremento but the LOLcats get the best player (on a contract that isn't even that bad any more) and the highest pick.
