McDyess is ready to call it quits

He's always been one of my favourites from the class of '95. Shame he wasn't able to get a ring at some point.

Earlier in the season he had said this was his last season.Then about a little over the halfway point he said he was thinking about coming back 1 more year.Then during the Grizzlies series,when i saw how exhausted he looked...it was pretty much a given.Tough player with all the respect in the world from me.He sure did prove me wrong this season.

I remember how he always killed me in Live 06.

I didn't follow the NBA as closely as I did this season compared to the past few seasons but seeing the Memphis-San Antonio series I was completely surprised that McDyess was still playing. I thought he had retired a year or 2 ago.

His knees retired many years ago yet he was still playing.
