2011 Playoffs: (2) Lakers Vs. (3) Mavericks

Ugh. Lakers in 5. Just ugh.

I don't know what to say here. Lakers will obviously be a tough matchup, but I do believe in this Mavs team. Kobe's not playing great so far. Fearing Gasol though, best player on the team anyway.

I go for Mavs in 6 just because I'm a goddam fanboy.

Even though both teams weren't that impressive in the first rounds, I think the Lakers are still the better team here. Depends on how good Tyson Chandler can limit LAL's twin towers I think will be a key factor here for the Mavericks. My hopes are with Mavericks in 6.

Lakers in 6. They havent found their championship gear yet, but I dont think the Mavs will go down easily.

Dirk has never played well in the playoffs and has constantly imploded when his team needs him, while Kobe Bryant has never played poorly in any series ever. Case closed.

If there is anything that Kobe Bryant loves it is being challenged. And Kobe thrives on this, seeing challenges as merely something to overcome. Something he has done year after year when everyone has doubted him.

The raw facts are this: when Kobe Bryant wants to win, Kobe Bryant wins. No matter how much the league wishes to deny him, when he wants it, he gets it.

If Kobe loses, it's because he didn't care, and that losing makes him care, and he strikes back and wins just to re-establish himself as the greatest alpha-male of all time.

I'm going with Lakers in 5. For some reason, I have an odd sinking feeling that this will be an easy series for the Lakers and Kobe, but I'm strongly hoping I'm proven wrong.

Well sorry man it won't be. Kobe seems so determined and Bynum looks healthy and is beastin right now. The only team would have a good shot at beating the Lakers in the West is the Thunder because they will matchup better than anybody else will and Kendrick Perkins will put Bynum in his place that is if he could last throughout the whole series. I probably should've chose Lakers in 5.
