2011 Playoffs: (1) Bulls vs. (5) Hawks

Fri Apr 29, 2011 12:01 pm

The Magic shat the bed and failed to hit any shots, and Dwight is likely going to demand a trade, letting the Atlanta Hawks, a mediocre team, upset them in 6. Now in the series that nobody is looking forward to, it's Bulls-Hawks.

I can't see this going to more than 5. The Hawks are arguably a worse team than the Pacers but ran into a floundering Magic team they matched up well with. I got Bulls in 4. They are warmed up and the Hawks will be exposed like they were last year.

Whoa, Lamrock. That was fast. (Y)

And yeah, the Bulls in 5. Ain't gonna be a fun series unless you are a Bulls fan.

I've got a feeling the Hawks will take one at home, even though the Bulls seem to have gotten it going in Game 5 against the Pacers. Hopefully Boozer shows up for this series. Bulls in five.

Bulls in six. Hawks are underrated and Hinrich is going to play with a chip on his shoulder.

I say Bulls in 5; the Hawks will likely take Game 4 at home. I don't see the Hawks scoring much against Tom Thibodeau's defense.

Bulls in 5. Hopefully Chicago will get the wins one way or the other, even if it requires way more sweat than against Indiana to get each win. I would like to see the Bulls winning these series as soon as possible,in order to have the condition advantage against the C's or the Heat, who are expected to have a long series.

But Hawks are going to avoid the sweep,as they have pieces who can win them a game in Atlanta. But as Axel said,Bulls' defense is probably going to limit their game and avoid dropping more than one game against the Hawks...

Bulls sweep. Josh Smith will destroy Boozer, who will likely have another lacklustre series, but at the end of the day, there isnt anyone on the Hawks' roster who can play Derrick Rose.

Joe Johnson makes more money than Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah combined. Case closed.

I have been talking with my sources and they have not been able to stop talking about Joe Johnson and his superstar status. It really is remarkable the way these experts talk about this superstar. And I simply cannot bet against their informed view.

This series is all about winning, and no one wants to win as bad as Joe Johnson. He will prove himself in this series and silence all the haters who dared his desire to become the best in the game.

Case closed.

Some of you guys are not giving the Hawks the time of day. I want to see the Bulls go all the way this year but it seems for this series all of the matchups are in favor of the Hawks. I wouldn't sleep on the Hawks guys. I still chose the Bulls in 7 because of Derrick Rose. Carlos Boozer thought Tyler Hansbrough was a problem... Josh Smith and Al Horford are going to give him hell. I have a feeling we're going to have a good series here guys :) .

All of them?

correction more. I'm just saying this is going to be a better series than most think. In the end Derrick Rose, Noah, and Luol Deng will pull through but Boozer will struggle badly and they will need him to step up but he won't. He's going to have matchup problems with Josh Smith. And fuck Joe Johnson! Josh Smith is the Hawks best player.

Just realized that Crawford and Hinrich are now teammates. Google "jamal crawford kirk hinrich", I'm sure most of us are familiar with that vid.

Yes Jamal Crawford can be considered the best player too. He is for sure their best offensive talent and clutch player.

Tough break for Captain Kirk but good fortune for the Bulls and Derrick Rose in particular. Teague's reasonably quick but he's not as good a defender as Hinrich.
