Odom wants with Miami?

''I feel like my relationship with the Clippers is over,'' Odom said by telephone Wednesday. ``I don't really feel like they committed to me. If they were, this wouldn't be going on like this. I just feel like this is my time and my place and my chance to get out of there.''

''At the end of this year, I pretty much wanted out,'' Odom said. ``I'm tired of not having a place to practice, a place to get better. I think it's just my time to get out of there. . . . I've been trying to express myself as humble as possible, but I just want to get . . . out of there.''

``I don't see how far we could go. From my understanding, no one wants to hire a disgruntled employee or bring a disgruntled employee back. I would not be happy coming back. I think my career is going to take off with the Heat. I'm running in muddy waters with the Clippers.''

''This is about me coming to play for a coach that I should have been playing with a long time ago, since my rookie season,'' Odom said. ``He tried to make the moves to come get me then [in a trade], and now it's time for him to come get me out of the basketball hell.
``I don't see myself playing for any other coach than Riley next year.''

well...it looks obvious that he doesnt want to go back to the Clipshow. If he signs with Miami they will have a very nice youg team

C-Grant?
PF-Walker
SF-Odom
SG-Jones
PG-Wade

they just need some more players with NBA excperience and it can become a pretty good team

The Clippers will likely match any offers the Heat make, which means Odom will likely remain an unhappy Clipper.

Walker is a bigger question to starting spot than Grant because Butler is a good player and i dont belive he's gonna come off the bench.(but everything can happen) If Miami gets Odom then Odom may start at pf and Caron Butler at sf.

they wont put Eddie Jones on the bench (but as i said everything can happen) and Eddie Jones will certainly not start at pg,Wade wil do it (but everything can happen) as Kobe4mvp said.

Good point. I think it will be:

C-Grant/Walker
PF-Odom
SF-Butler
SG-Jones
PG-House/Best/Wade ----> Not too sure here. I think Wade will come off the bench until he proves himself and House and Best are FA.

Thats there best lineup wit Wade at PG but i think even if he doesnt start or butler they will be in the game down the stretch which really matters and i look forward to the heat making a run towards the playoffs :)

Odom is too thin to play at PF...he'll get pushed like nobody's even there...most PF in the east are more stronger than Odom..just imagine when Spurs play them..he'll get crush to bones by Duncan...i dunno...itz a tough decision...i hate to put Caron in the bench...or Odom..maybe a trade here would help...

it's time for him to come get me out of the basketball hell.

haha...but i rili think Clipps will make the offer for sure...they wanna in the playoffs..and they've done all the great moves this summer..so i think he'll stay with Clipps...

Jason Kidd will henceforth be referred to as Jason Duncan Williams. Or Jason Jason Duncan. Or to keep it simple we'll just call him Jason Duncan. Perhaps maybe they could sign LO and then trade him or Caron for a Big man. Just a thought.

you are not jason kidd and i am not a cubancigar or mark cuban. and back to the topic, i think the heat should really try to sign a center so brian grant can play pf, odom can play sf. however, jones and butler or butler and odom would be a problem. but if jones can play pg, the line up might be:
C (hopefully there will be a decent center)
PF grant
SF odom
SG butler
PG jones

or grant can play center and have someone else play PF

please stop calling me mark and what does "no brian plays center" mean? i don't understand you too well. from what you just wrote, it would leave me under the impression that nobody named brian plays the center position.

eh?

if coach riley can rotate the lines correctly he could start odom at the point, give him rests at certain times, move him at pf at others, plug wade in, etc.. labelling players to positions reduces creativity. personally, i think they'll trade eddie jones, his name has been in the trade rumors since forever. then if you were to sketch a basic starting lineup it'd be:

C
PF brian grant
SF lamar odom
SG caron butler
PG dwayne wade

maybe they can trade eddie for a good centre......... problem is, every team in the league wants a good centre  they're a high-demand commodity. zo would've looked good here.

IMO...if I were Miami's Pat Riley...I choose this lineup:

C: Brian Grant
PF: Lamar Odom
SF: Caron Butler
SG: Wade
PG: Jones

I think Jones has enogh experience to take over at the point...and Wade should be a pretty good 2...Butler will do well as last season. Odom and Grant will rule the paint together...occasionally.

Brian Grant is a PF, and after he was traded to/signed with the Heat and Zo was injured he was forced to switch positions.

If they do get him, why not start odom at pg? He has playmaking abilities and they could keep him there until wade develops....
