Could the Magic run for NBA Finals?

How's your thought about the Orlando Magic's roster now? Is it stable and can make a run for championship?

Sure they can. With Dwight Howard and all of their shooters, they can win on any given night. Having said that, they can also lose on any given night. They're being overlooked this year, but depending on if the shots fall, they could lose in the first round, and they could win it all. However, out of the six contenders (sorry Dallas), I'd probably give them the worst shot at this point.

Dwight's technicals will keep the Magic from winning. :shake: He's going to be so ticked off at everyone come playoff time that he'll have a hard time not getting a tech in a game. Also, the Celtics, Bulls, and Heat are too good.

I think Dallas is more likely than Orlando to make the Finals. They are winning games they are supposed to win, although last night's loss to Memphis was unlucky, at least it was very close. They haven't been killed by Cleveland, Milwaukee, Indiana, or Charlotte, like the Lakers have.

I'm not so sure, i think the magic can make it to the eastern conference finals. But if they want to compete for the nba finals, then Gilbert Arenas and Jason Richardson step up and score, then orlando can compete for an nba championship. Oh yeah and don't forget about Hedu, Hedu has to step up and be the Hedu of old.

Maybe I just don't like Magic because they're a rival to the Heat. But I don't really like their chances against any top teams like BOS, CHI and MIA. Turkglu got raped by Lebron on almost every possession and the reason they won against MIA in last meeting was because of Richardson's sudden hot shooting. As for Dwight, he'll always get his numbers against anyone but can be contained to manageable performance by any top team's D. CHI has Noah to enforce that, BOS has their own great bigs, and MIA has Bosh[/shrugs] to do that.

The bottomline is that Nelson's been streaky, Turk got older, Richardson's got no D, Arena's a wash and their A game cannot even beat other top teams' B game. Second round exit is almost damn guaranteed.

I agree.. I'm just disappointed with Otis Smith still not having a good back-up for Dwight.. Arenas didn't play in the league for almost 2 years so its hard to get his rhythm for a short time..

He had a pretty solid one in Gortat, unfortunately he gave him up to bring back Turkoglu.

I agree with what's already been posted, I wouldn't count them out but I wouldn't call them favourites to come out of the East. Health permitting, the Celtics would probably still be my pick right now.

No, they can't. Second round in the playoffs is the best possible scenario for them. They need a pass first PG and a lot better PF. Unlil they have filled these two positions with high caliber players, there is simply no chance that they can beat Boston in a seven game series.

If the Celtics players' health permits it.
