Rajon Rondo or Derrick Rose?

FUck that's a good question. Rondo is a true Point Guard , he gives you assists , rebounds , steals and lockdown perimeter D. Rose on the other hand is just a great scorer . . I think Rondo is this good [Not saying he isn't a great player overall] partly because he has a great team , full of chemistry. I''m waiting to see him play after KG , Pierce and Ray Ray retire. He could elaborate more on why the topic interests him as to make a new thread about it and not just reply with smilies to people that post on a thread he started.

Besides, clap clap clap and a thumbs up is more of giving props and agreeing on an opinion than having an opinion about the topic itself.

Sure, why couldn't you have said so earlier? I would pick Rondo for he is a true point guard for he grabs board like a forward, gets you many assists as he is a pass-first guard, he is a lockdown defender even on clutch minutes as I could recall Game 7 of the Finals where he almost go the steal on Kobe Bryant but sadly went off him, he has great hustle and love for the game. Although he wouldn't give as much points as Rose, he knows that scoring is not his priority for he has the Big 3 with him but he could easily split defenders and draw a foul to get the points that he would like to get but he chooses to pass it to the open man for the high percentage shot. I'm not saying that Rose couldn't be better, of course he can. But for now, Rondo is the better player.

I was planning to reply then after at least others have posted theirs because when I left, no one has replied yet but when I came back to see, there were like 9 posts already thus I wanted to reply to and read other posts including yours thus resulting to my reply.

D-Rose of course.
A leader,solid MVP candidate,better and better every year,manages to compine huge scoring with a great average of assisting...(and not forget that huge block on Rondo back in 2009 playoffs! )

Derrick Rose. No doubt.

Rose is the right choice. Rondo benefits from big 3 plus the great team. We saw how things could be ugly for Rondo during last summer with team USA.

Both excel at what they are asked to do from their team. if the two were to switch teams, would there numbers still be comparable??

Doubt it. I think they fit better with the teams they're on right now.

I really like Rondo's game right now whereas I did not like Rose's game of the last two seasons. Still, in my opinion, Rose will be the better guard in the future.

He has the edge in height, athleticism (at least vertical), whilst Rondo has those big hands that help him to do the weirdest ball fakes you could imagine. That's their bodies.

Rose is the better finisher in traffic, whilst Rondo is clearly the better playmaker and has better court vision. Still, Rose is improving on these parts of the game quickly as you notice when you compare the stats of his three seasons.

Another big factor for my decision is their jump shot. Rondo has no J at all, even his FT shooting is very weak. Rose has really improved his shot over his first three years.He is shooting .385% from down town this season.

If you had asked me about who I like more, whose game attracts me more, it's definitely the pass-first playmaker Rondo.

If you just wanted to know who will be the better player in the future, I'd go with Rose.
