DeShawn Stevenson seems to have a good shot to be in the 3 point shootout this year since he is shooting like 50% this year.
Sat Jan 01, 2011 2:12 am
Shaq, Dwight Howard, Ben Wallace, Kwame Brown, Desagana Diop, and The Greatness That Is Joel Anthony.

How are y'all not mentioning Kevin Martin? He's 4th in the league in 3 pters made and is shooting 44%

Cause he most likely will be injured by then.

I want to see Greatness win it all

I think you've got to have Matt Bonner in there as the league leader, though I probably wouldn't pick him to win. I'd also include Jason Richardson (fourth in the league in three pointers made per game, shooting 40% and the possibility of him being the first person to win both the dunk contest and three point shootout), Kevin Martin (tied with Richardson for threes made per game, shooting a shade under 45% as of this post), Ray Allen (former champ, respectable percentage, top ten in threes per game), Dorell Wright (tied for most threes per game, shooting 41%) and Manu Ginobili (respectable percentage, tied for most threes per game). I might have to take Allen in that field.

For real this time, J-Rich, K-Mart, Ray Ray, Kyle Korver, Matt Boner, and my man J-Dud!
I'd go with J-Rich or K-Mart, but I'd be rooting for Dudley.
Sat Jan 01, 2011 1:48 pm
I'd go for Jared Dudley, J.J. Redick, J-Rich, Bonner, Manu and the defending champ. Redick is my bet

If there's a way to slap someone across the internet, I would use it on you.
The 3-point shootout is the event that I consistently enjoy every year. Even the greatness that is Joel Anthony is not amused by your post.
It's not subject to stupid judging or silly gimmicks like the dunk contest or a forced marketing gimmick like that WNBA-NBA-Legends competition. It's pretty much straightforward, either the contestants suck or win it by shooting the three ball.

Why is everyone mentioning House? He doesn't even play now that Chalmers is back.
Sun Jan 02, 2011 1:27 am
Because he will be great for the competition? He can shoot 3s for sure.

Aaron Brooks should have been in last year, so as Luther Head three years ago.

The way he shoots would affect his ability to get off all his shots in time if he was in it. If I remember correctly he jumps way forward when he shoots. Allen Iverson had the same thing when he shot, he'd move quite a bit forward when taking jumpshots and for some reason he was invited to the 3-point contest in 2000 despite never being a "great" 3-point shooter. AI shot differently than he normally did in that contest, was basically shooting set shots or with barely any jump to no surprise he didn't exactly do that well.

Decent choices.
Allen and Pierce were for sure. Alltime record holder and defending champ.
The others are nice. Scoring champ, improving player, heat and cavs
But I wish Redick will be there too, give that he said that hed like to enter and the statement that he never lost a 3pt shootout.
