http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5360911Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh are teaming up together on Wade's Miami Heat, the two free agents said Wednesday.
"We've wanted to play with each other and we have a golden opportunity to do that. We're going to take advantage of it," Bosh said on ESPN's "SportsCenter."
Wade, 28, said it was difficult to turn down the chance to play in Chicago, where he grew up. But in the end, an opportunity to play with the 26-year-old Bosh and build a title contender in Miami with the two in the prime of their careers won out over his desire to play in his hometown, Wade said.
"Now we can get on the pace of building a championship," he said.
It was not immediately clear whether Bosh -- who spent seven seasons with the Toronto Raptors -- will sign with Miami outright or join the Heat through a sign-and-trade deal. Bosh could earn $125 million over six years via sign-and-trade, but only $96 million in five without it.

And that's fine, big signings more than deserve their own threads.

Love the combination. I'm really glad D-Wade is staying with Miami and I think Bosh as a second scorer will put them as a major contender.
I'll be interested to see what happens with Beasley; I'd like to see the Heat keep him as a third scoring option.

Big signing, though I still only see them as the 4th best team in the conference (behind Cleveland, Orlando and Boston of course), but this should easily get them out of the first round.

Cleveland,with LeBron,right?

I was mostly sure that Wade was going to remain in Miami before the offseason, though it's a little disappointing knowing that the Bulls apparently made a fairly decent pitch that ultimately didn't pan out. Oh well, good on him for his loyalty and great news for the Heat with Bosh joining him. As Lamrock said it should get them out of the first round, but they need to round out the roster a little more before they're serious contenders.

I'll be sure to watch the Heat's first pre-season/season game.

Yes, I'll expect they'll be prominently featured on ESPN Australia...more so. I can live with that though, the duo of Wade and Bosh should make them interesting to watch.

But who'll get the ball in clutch situations?
Thu Jul 08, 2010 11:52 am
Wade, nine times out of ten.
Thu Jul 08, 2010 11:54 am
I would assume so, that 1/10 would be when the other team plays tight defense on Wade, not allowing him to get the ball.

Damnit Bosh! You were supposed to
come to Houston!
Thu Jul 08, 2010 2:29 pm
So much of Bosh wanting to be "the man" in free agency
I hate this for the Bulls 'cause if Bosh didn't go to Miami, Wade would be with us right now
Thu Jul 08, 2010 4:39 pm
Wade in Chi not gonna happen ever!!!
Thu Jul 08, 2010 10:21 pm
Great signing, but sucks that only Canadian team has to continue sucking without a superstar. Maybe not, they have Turkglu and Barfnani.

Next NBA season is going to be a pain here in the NLSC because of...
Retarded Lakers fanbois.
Retarded Heat fanbois. Especially if LeBron goes to the Heat.

Hahaha... shadowgrin is one of those
haterz. F U 2, MAN!
Damn. It feels good to be saying that word. Now I understand why Kobe fans use it so much.

Prepare to be mocked endlessly when your precious Heat gets eliminated without even reaching the Finals.

I think nobody is saying that Bosh makes them the favorites in the East. Wade said it himself, that they have just put themselves in the conversation to be a top-4 team in the East.

i agree with shadow. all we are gonna hear all year is lakers this and heat that. then come playoff time everyone is gonna say how they cant be beat then both teams will end up losing to the celtics anyway.
Fri Jul 09, 2010 3:20 am
There would be no room for Scola, and I love his spinning-dancing moves on the post.

Exactly, pretty much like this year.
Oh wait...
Fri Jul 09, 2010 4:42 am
Yeah, but now the Celtics have Jermaine O'Neal to get them over that title hump!
