Looks quite a bit like Chris Bosh in that wedding pic.

So this is the guy that Kevin Garnett has the word "2malik" written on every single model of his Adidas shoes. I've known all along that it was dedicated to his late friend but I was never curious enough to look up exactly who it was.

RIP Malik, was a sad day when he passed as he had found his place in the NBA, seemed like a good guy & was one of my favourite players at the time.

Loved him at St. John's. One of Looie's favorites.

What a horrible year 2000 was for the NBA. Bobby Phills and Malik Sealy... both were extremely sad.
RIP Malik and Bobby

The 2000 draft class was horrible too.

I remember Malik Sealy vividly. He was just coming into his own as a basketball player when he was killed that night. However, Sealy the basketball player comes second to him as a person. He had a family that loved him a lot and a young son who had to grow up without a father. So often do we see athletes get themselves mixed up with the wrong crowd and do the wrong things but Malik was not that. It's sad to see anyone go that early but to see someone who realized how lucky he was and never took that for granted get it taken away from his family like that is heartbreaking.
RIP Malik!

My respects for him and his family and the great person that he was. It is sad to see that besides Malik many players from that era had passed away at such a young age recently. Wayman Tisdale, Kevin Duckworth, Alan Ogg, Alec Kessler, Bobby Phills, Bison Dele (Brian Williams) to mention a few: R.I.P.
