Holy crap. Shawn Livingston-esque but with the arm. Terrible news for the bucks.
Sun Apr 04, 2010 2:59 pm
ESPN are saying it's a mild dislocation. Didn't look very mild but hopefully he recovers
Sun Apr 04, 2010 3:02 pm
I hope for his sake it looks worse then it really is. I really hope it is a 'mild' dislocation as ESPN says, but it looked really really bad. The way his arm flailed after he fell.
Sun Apr 04, 2010 3:43 pm
Apparently if it's just popped completely out of place and there's no tendon/ligament/bone damage he should be back in 2-4 weeks. There's a couple of guys at RealGM who are doctors, but they are just kinda guessing based on the footage.
I read the fans bood Amare every time he touched the ball afterwards, I didn't think he really did anything wrong.
Sun Apr 04, 2010 3:51 pm
Sickening injury, as you guys said hopefully it just looks worse than it is. I don't think Amar'e is at fault either, looks like he went to hang on the rim and simply slipped, his momentum causing a brutally awkward fall.
Sun Apr 04, 2010 4:23 pm
Well, I don't fear the deer any more. Good think they signed Bogut to that fat contract a couple years ago.
Sun Apr 04, 2010 4:40 pm
Gone for the season. No one knew he'd broken his hand in the fall.
Sun Apr 04, 2010 4:40 pm
Good think they signed Bogut to that fat contract a couple years ago.
Yeah but he's still not as injury prone as Greg Oden
Sun Apr 04, 2010 4:57 pm
It's ridiculous how Amare got a flagrant for that and the Bucks fans kept booing him throughout the game...

Tough luck for Bogut. He was having a great season and would've been a very important part of the Bucks playoff run... I wish him a fast recovery.

Amare had nothing to do with this..
Sun Apr 04, 2010 5:31 pm
Yeah...Amare really didn't anything there. As Andrew said, sure looked like it was his momentum that caused it. Similar to these ones:

Except he totally failed the backflip.
What really sucks about this is how good the Bucks have been playing.
Sun Apr 04, 2010 8:12 pm
Damn... He should have just layed it up or hung on to the rim harder. Hope it's not as bad as it looks.
Anyways, this means, whoever faces the Bucks in the first round gets a free pass to the next round.

I was eating dinner when I saw this on the news and it was so sickening that I couldn't continue eating. Just painful to watch. And very saddening because he was having a career year. I hope he makes a full recovery.
Sun Apr 04, 2010 9:43 pm
A disappointing end to a career year, but if there's a silver lining it was a freak injury and not a recurring problem. Hopefully he can bounce back from this next season and continue the form he showed this year.

Terrible shame. The Bucks were playing so well lately and losing Bogut is a big blow
Mon Apr 05, 2010 1:27 am
This really sucks. To watch is just as awful as Livingston's knee.
Mon Apr 05, 2010 2:41 am
Just aweful. especially for Bogut and the fans
Mon Apr 05, 2010 9:59 am
Aw man, that is sick. The way his arm flailed like a rubber chicken. Seems like Bogut can't get a break from injuries. Hope he recovers from that and continue from where he left off before being injured like the way Amare did.

Thanks Doobie, what we all needed. A gif of that. You sick fuck.
Mon Apr 05, 2010 10:42 am
Now the Bucks will have to depend on Brandon Jennings.
Mon Apr 05, 2010 10:44 am
Alex.. The bucks will depend on Gadzuric now!
And Shadow... that is possibly the nastiest thing I've ever seen, just thought I'd share it with you guys.

Saw a clearer one the second time from the other thread. Made it sick more.
Saw it a third time from the gif you just posted. The repeating animation elevated the sickness of it all.
Seriously considering breakfast or not.

It might be small consolation, but I'm glad it was his right arm & not his left. He's one of the best in the league, if not the best, at using his off hand (left). It's his go to weapon, so I don't think all is lost. Horrible to see the injury as I thought Bucks were going to beat C's in 1st Round & take a game or 2 off Cleveland in 2nd Round.
