He just got carried off the floor after a really nasty looking awkward landing which I'm sure will hit YouTube before the day is out. Just about the last thing the Blazers need about now, another injury.

All I could say was ouch when I looked the title of the thread... poor Przybilla. And tough break for the Blazers.
Maybe this means more playing time for Patty Mills.
Wed Dec 23, 2009 12:32 pm
This is just bullshit.
Oden
Przybilla
Travis Outlaw
Fernandez
Batum
Thats 5 people missing almost all of season who can be starters on most NBA teams.
i dont even know what is going on. that is some bad luck
EDIT: Video link

The Blazers will now regret letting go of Channing Frye. They don't have anyone big enough to be their C.
Wed Dec 23, 2009 12:57 pm
That's a really nasty landing. Tough on Portland, but tougher for Przybilla himself. Get well soon, I think he's done for the season. His kneecap freaking pops in after he tried to extend his knee.

Terrible news. This year is done for the Blazers it would seem. At this point I would suggest playing small ball & developing young guys.
C- LaMarcus Aldridge
PF- Juwan Howard (start Outlaw once he's back)
SF- Brandon Roy
SG- Jerryd Bayless (start Rudy once he's back)
PG Andre Miller
Bench: Martell Webster & Steve Blake
I'd probably look to deal Miller since they only got him to help them in the playoffs.

Actually was reading an article that speculated that they only signed him so they could trade him at trade deadline... which would actually be quite a smart move if that was what they intended all along.

Latest report is that it's a
ruptured patella tendon, for now he's out indefinitely.
Wed Dec 23, 2009 2:47 pm
Even coach Nate McMillan hasn’t been immune, sustaining a ruptured right Achilles’ tendon on Dec. 7 that required surgery.
Ouch. From players to the coach itself.

Trail Blazers seem to be unlucky this year
Cant they pick up NBDL players for 10 day contracts?
Wed Dec 23, 2009 3:30 pm
Players can't be signed to 10 day contracts until January 5th. Teams also cannot have more players signed to ten day contracts than they have players on the inactive list, plus any team with 15 players already would need to be granted an injury exception to exceed the 15 player limit (though you'd think the Blazers should qualify for that).
Wed Dec 23, 2009 3:37 pm
God damn it. Looks like we'll be seeing a starting 5 of Miller-Blake-Roy-Webster-LMA. We will suck.
Wed Dec 23, 2009 4:10 pm
I wonder if they'll still be the playoff team at the end of the season. I think Roy and Aldridge are too good of players to not to make it, but seriously... with so many injuries, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't.
Wed Dec 23, 2009 4:13 pm
I Just wish they don't get more injuries in time.
Wed Dec 23, 2009 6:07 pm
Of course we won't make the playoffs. Roy is good, but when your second and third best players are an average starting PF (Aldridge) and a guy who never plays (Bayless), and your only other big man besides said PF are a D-Leaguer (Tolliver) and a corpse (Juwan Howard), and you aren't in the East, you won't make the playoffs. I bet we win about 40 games. Not good enough to make the playoffs; not bad enough to draft a decent player.
Wed Dec 23, 2009 6:17 pm
Isn't Tolliver like 6'8 or something? The Blazers are so screwed. Small ball might not work considering they have the slowest Pace in the entire league and their usual half-court sets will probably fail more often than not considering Aldridge is allergic to the paint.

Who they should have signed:
Thu Dec 24, 2009 3:48 am
Isn't that Ha from Korea. No I'm not laughing, his name is "Ha". That guy was just big, no skills at all and slow as hell, no athletism whatsoever. It'd be still fun to see him as a Blazer tho.
Thu Dec 24, 2009 8:08 am
Yes, that's him.

Officially
out for the season. Until they make a deal, I guess it's Juwan Howard's time to shine and turn back the clock.
Sat Dec 26, 2009 7:26 am
This is really weird,so many serious injuries.
Sun Dec 27, 2009 2:40 am
So I was right when I thought he will be out for the season. I hope he gets well soon and resume his career right where he left off.
