http://www.duluthnewstribune.com/event/ ... D9AGNP5G0/It looks like they found their replacement for Rubio... if the Bucks don't match it, that is.

Having drafted Jennings and seemingly not made too many overtures to Sessions to stay, I'm guessing that the Bucks won't match. Good pickup for the Timberwolves if the Bucks don't step in.

Sessions is likely starting PG for the Wolves this season so good pickup if Bucks don't match

Hope they don't match. Now, Minnesota has three future All-Stars all under 25.
Just need to stop hording big men and find some perimeter players.

I have a feeling the Wolves are gonna trade Rubio's rights to New York....
Sat Sep 05, 2009 2:22 pm
I'd try to send them for a sign and traded Nate Robinson.

Funny how the best player in free agency gets a 4 year, 16 mil contract. Wolves might be a sleeper playoff team next year. Don't know why they traded Quentin Richardson away though. He could have actually been useful.

i think the Bucks will not match the offer...

oh let's see

Definitely a good move for the for the Wolves, the only good move they've made in the last season. Apart from drafting Flynn. I doubt the Bucks will match.

I don't know, he can't come to the NBA for any team until 2011 so I reckon they'd keep his rights so they've got him as an ace up their sleeve come that time.

Sessions won't sign with the Wolves. it'll just slow down his career

Um...he already has signed with the Wolves. The only thing preventing it from being officially done is the Bucks' right to match the offer sheet, which it seems unlikely that they will do. It's not a case of whether or not he'll sign with the Timberwolves; he's going there unless Milwaukee change their mind.

oh he did! damn. that sucks. oh well. good luck to him

I think the Wolves will be out of playoff contention by the All-Star break. I hope you are right, though.

Bucks don't match. Sessions is now a Timberwolf. Finally some good news for Wolves fans. While I don't get Kahn's negligence to the swingman position, they certainly seem to be going in the right direction. What a coup. (Them getting him for so little makes me lose respect for Kevin Pritchard)

No surprises there. The Bucks better hope Brandon Jennings pans out though.

A fairly terrible move for the Bucks, passing up possibly the best value contract in the NBA and being set at the starting 1 for years to come. They seem to be putting all their stock in lottery picks, and in the process are squandering all their young talent.

Sessions at 4M a year is a bargain. Although this frees up space for Jennings. Fine by me.
Mon Sep 14, 2009 9:41 am
IT IS A STEAL BY THE WOLVES
Fuck D'Antoni, the next great PG for 4M and you didn't want to spend? IDIOT
Mon Sep 14, 2009 10:30 am
The next great PG? How many years do you think Iverson has been in the league...
Tue Sep 15, 2009 3:32 am
Since when we consider Iverson a PG?
Tue Sep 15, 2009 8:16 am
Edit. Wtf am I talking about

what ever happened to Chris Paul, Deron Williams, and Derrick Rose?
Sessions next great?
Wed Sep 16, 2009 7:31 am
Well, Chris Paul is the current great, and has been for a few years.
Sessions is already better than Derrick Rose and quickly closing in on Williams if he keeps his rate of growth up.

At first I was going to suggest a similarity to Chauncey Billups signing with the Pistons in 2002 in terms of being a setting where Sessions can really show what he can do, but it's a sketchy comparison as far as the teams are concerned as I doubt the Timberwolves will climb up the standings the way Detroit did.
