New Jersey Nets All-Star guard Devin Harris will be sidelined indefinitely with a sprained left shoulder and strained deltoid muscle.
The Nets say an MRI on Tuesday showed no broken bones. Harris is undergoing treatment and will be out at least a week and possibly longer.
Harris was injured in a fall Sunday in Los Angeles after being fouled by the Clippers’ Marcus Camby on a layup attempt. He missed Monday night’s game in Denver.
Certainly not what the Nets want to hear with the season winding down and the Nets slipping back in the standings. If he is going to be out the rest of the way, hopefully he's back at full strength by next season. It's been a breakout season for him; it would be shame for him to suffer a setback thanks to lingering shoulder problems similar to Dwyane Wade the last couple of years though the report doesn't mention a dislocation so I suppose there's less chance of that.
