Create a dunk - your ideas

Imagine you were the creative mind of next year's dunk contest and could invent a dunk for Howard, Robinson or whoever...what would it be? It should just be creative and something new.

Here are my ideas. Not sure it these would be possible.

1) Dunk for Dwight Howard:

Howard shoots from the 3PT line and hits the three (-> wow because he is not known for this)...an assistant (e.g. Nelson) catches the ball right after it has swished through the net, lobs it for Howard who finishes with a 180 or 360. Could work but I am not sure if this is legal.

2) Another dunk for Dwight Howard:

My idea is based on Howard's second backboard of today's contest but both backboards are of normal height. Basically, two baskets are standing next to each other with their backboards touching. Howard palms one ball in each hand, runs to the two hoops and dunks the balls in both of them...one on the left, one on the right. If possible there could even be a gap between the two backboards...anyway, this dunk should focus on Howard*s amazing arm span.

1)Baseline 180(or 360) reverse-windmill.
2)Two hand tap on one side of the backboard into a two hand windmill on the other side of the basket.
3)Armpit dunk. I think Howard could do this.
4)For Howard again, place a ball stationary on the top of the backboard before the dunk, grab it off and dunk it.
5)Howard - break the rim/backboard with sheer power.
6)Double dunk - Get up high and throw a simple one handed dunk in while catching it with the other hand through the net and slamming it down a second time.
7)Feet dunk - Going baseline, an alleyoop or off the floor pass is thrown on the opposite side of the rim. The player jumps, grabs the rim and propels himself into a backwards somersault catching the ball with the top of his feet and slamming it in with them.
8)Dwight Howard dunks Nate Robinson instead of the ball.

If Howard's in the contest next year, he should try dunking on an even higher rim. When he jumped up and grabbed the rim before he actually attempted the dunk he kind of made it look too easy. He still got the 50 but when I saw him grab the rim before the attempt the suspense was gone, I knew he was going to make it easily and probably on the first attempt unless the bounce was bad or the ball slipped. I'd also tone down the Superman stuff, it's getting corny and we've seen it before. Pulling out the same gimmicks is just as bad as pulling out the same dunks, if they're going to allow all these props and whatnot.

I'd like to see someone do a clean 360 off a lob off the glass. At this point a lot has been done in the dunk contest but I think there's still potential to put a new twist on traditional dunks by doing them off lobs, especially some of the more creative lobs we've seen in recent years such as the ones off the back or side of the glass. Then you've got combinations like between-the-legs from the free throw line (a la James White) and other such variations that raise the bar. No capes, no slapping stickers on the backboard, no costumes...just straight up creativity with the ball and amazing athleticism.

A double dunk like in NBA Street homecourt or a dunk with the other 3 participants (really) trying to prevent you from dunking.

Hmm, apparently Gerald Green wants to do the dunk contest in Dallas in 2010, and wants to get Tony Romo to throw a ball to him from full-court for an alley-oop. I'd love to see that and I suppose it could be done. Of course, only if his offensive line stops him from getting sacked
