three-team deal

Thu Dec 11, 2008 5:22 pm

The Hornets acquired veteran guard Antonio Daniels from the Wizards and sent point guard Mike James to Washington. The Grizzlies acquired a conditional future first-round draft pick from the Wizards for former first-round pick Javaris Crittenton. New Orleans also gets a conditional future second-round pick from Memphis in the deal.

Nice deal for everyone. NO gets a better backup for Paul who also can help at sg. Washington get´s a guard for the future and James might help as long as Arenas is out. (That´s a first sign of rebuilding, may Jamison should start packing his bags) Memphis got back it´s pick by giving up a player that was not playing.

I agree, the Hornets are the team whose future is most likely to be affected by the trade as they're in the best position of the three to be competitive this year but at the very least, New Orleans and Memphis moved players who haven't been in the rotation most of the year and Washington picked up a promising player as they look to rebuild. A pretty good low-risk move all around.
