Over the Thunder today. Newsworthy because he's the first head coach in NBA history to get 1000 career wins with only one franchise. Congratulations to him and to the Jazz as well, i guess.
Quite an accomplishment given the way so many coaches are shown the door when things get a little a rough or a team decides to start over, or the way coaches themselves usually prefer to seek a fresh start with a new team. Congrats are in order for the former Bull.
I wonder how long he intends on coaching the Jazz. He's signed through next season but with a few Jazz players becoming free agents and the possibility they might enter another retooling/rebuilding phase, I wonder if he'd be willing to be a part of that or if they do manage to bring back a bulk of the core and remain a playoff team, how long he'd want to keep coaching that group.
