mj in philly?

Wed May 14, 2003 4:09 am

He admits it is a wish, but Larry Brown seriously wants Michael Jordan to join the 76ers, so much so that he is willing to hand Jordan his title as vice president of player personnel.

In Brown's estimation, Jordan could have a huge impact on Allen Iverson and the rest of the players, and would help him become a better coach.

it would be cool!!!(im a sixers fan)

That would be an interesting trio: Michael Jordan, Larry Brown, and Allen Iverson.

intresting it is....Jordan might briong some of the best players around the leaguen to Philly...i'd love for that to happen (y)

Wed May 14, 2003 1:38 pm

If this happened, then this time if Jordan unretires, it would be to play for a Championship :D

Wed May 14, 2003 4:04 pm

they are talking about Jordan being VP of player personnel not jordan playing

Wed May 14, 2003 5:49 pm

yea, look whom he brought to the Wizards, Tyronn Lue and the 1st overall HS draft pick in NBA history Kwame Brown!!! woopee...

note: Wes Unseld brought Stackhouse and Hughes to Washington, NOT Jordan...

My point was that Jordan attracts players to play with/for him...

who whouldn't want to paly for "the best player ever"?

I reckon that Jordan had some influence or input into those moves though. Besides, MJ did manage to get rid of Juwan Howard's contract (as well an aging and expensive Mitch Richmond), so he did make some good moves during his tenure in the Wizards' front office.

According to some sportswriters, Jordan joining the new Charlotte team is pretty much a done deal, though there haven't been any reports that suggest it's actually official. One writer suggested there was a possibility of Jordan playing in Charlotte's inaugural season to attract interest in the team. Hopefully, that will not be the case.

It shouldn't be necessary anyway - the Hornets became the first expansion team to lead the NBA in attendance when they entered the league. The owners simply drove away fans through their own bad attitude and poor decisions - the fans didn't just get sick of basketball. There's no reason that lightning shouldn't strike twice as far as the community rallying behind their new expansion team.

Great work Shep. I didn't think you were so creative. A post more than a two lines long. So how do you my friend know I have all of a sudden I've become a fan of 50 Cent? How do you know I haven't listened to most of his earlier work and have been a fan for a year or two? Maybe you have just started to like him but not me buddy, so I'd appreciate if you kept your thoughts to yourself. Don't make comments on shit you have no idea about.

Enough. This is has gone far enough.

TheBob, for someone who has offered their services as a moderator before, your behaviour certainly doesn't warrant such a position.

Dan, I've warned you before about this kind of thing, after the whole "raped" thing.

Shep, your post was uncalled for and I strongly suggest you do not post in that manner again.

No ifs, buts, finger pointing or foot stomping. If you continue this kind of behaviour anywhere in the forum, against Clinton or any other member, that's it. No more warnings. There was no need whatsoever to take this discussion off-topic to demean another forum member.

No more.
