I’m not saying Jordan shouldn’t be hard on the guy. I’m not saying don’t be tough on him, but don’t try to break him. The last thing he needs is the greatest player of all time and his idol calling him derogatory names and reducing him to tears in front of his teammates. What’s the point in that? Remember, he’s just 19. Yes, he’s the #1 pick, making a lot of money and harsh treatment is not an unreasonable idea…but that was wrong. You don’t need to call into question a guy’s sexual preference in order to motivate him. Obviously it didn’t work either.

I just think its very weak, its not just MJ, it could be any player but he is a rolemodel for so many people, so he shouldnt say that to his former Teammate

It's a mean thing to say but I think Kwame took it too seriously. Let's face it, Kwame hasn't been playing up to his expectations. A number one pick is supposed to play like a number one pick. I agree that if a star wants to win, then they can't be nice. They're demanding, and when they don't get what they want, they can be cruel. Jordan knows that Kwame can play better, yet Kwame doesn't play to his potential, which is dissapointing for Jordan.

No I just made a joke because I saw a connection in the situation. If it had been any other Kobe fan making that remark I would've done the same thing. As you said, Kobe haters have called Kobe gay because of his looks and the way he does etc, that's just the way it is. In my book, judging other people's actions and calling their responsibility for that is policing (and also happen to be the main activities of moderating). That's just a difference of interpretation then I guess, which isn't a problem to me, since that wasn't an important part of any discussion anyway.

first of all u have to remmember that media will do anything... so i think is a hole load of bull... second of all when kweme did get drafted the only reason everyone expected him to be good was coz MJ picked him, that draft was an unknowed, there were no obvious players to choose from...

i think Mj did the right thing by getting him... look at him compare to other F in the draft, he's stron as they get, can shoot FT, mid rang jumpers, very athletic and only 19...
