The Clippers sure had a busy offseason. They are definitely a different look these days. For the better? I have no idea, but they've always been mediocre, and it seems to be a tradition.

Ricky Davis should give the Clippers some firepower but on the whole he's never been the answer to anyone's problems. Kwame isn't the new direction I would have expected the Pistons to take either.

I couldn't say that acquiring ricky davis is a good move for the clippers. ever since he left minnesota, his game just spiraled down. i also don't see if there's anything kwame can give to the pistons.

When you can't get enough Tim Thomas and Cuttino Mobley, you get yourself Ricky Davis! I look forward to the moves to get Antoine Walker and bring Jalen Rose and Latrell Sprewell out of retirement.

Man, the Clippers sure do have a clusterfuck of players.

Who knows, maybe it's all a move of pure genius and they'll all play extremely well together.

(Or maybe the inevitable will happen and they'll miss the playoffs...)

Should be interesting as it is. Only a basketball genius can establish some consistency and chemistry on that team.

I really hope that some of their games are televised, I wouldn't want to miss them for the world. You might actually see Clipper players fighting each other. (Y)

Kwame ain't that bad of an addition to Detroit. He could be a solid bench big man with the right coaching and the right system. 4 million still seems a bit excessive for a player that has yet to prove himself though... but yet again, big men seem to be somewhat of a commodity in this league.

How about Biedrins gettting 63 over 6?

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_d ... =nba,96369

I really like him as a player, but wouldn't you think that it's a tad excessive? I guess they were really afraid of loosing him.

Biedrins is showing the talent that the Warriors saw on him to take him 10th overall if I don't miss the correct pick

He deserves the money in a 50-50 way... I explain. He has the talent, showed some, he almost averaged a double double in less than 30 minutes a game and he's only 22. He need more burn to say that is contract is worth

Ricky Davis is a bad signing! I don't know what he brings... Problems maybe

Let's had Latrell and Walker so the Clippers bench becomes a trash can

mmm not too sure about Kwame signing with Dtown...hopefully they can straighten him up to play to his potential. its gone well with Max & Amir so far, so hopefully they can do the same with Brown...I hope this doesnt mean Amir will play less tho, he already has PT probs when he's got all that talent wasting (Darko?)

also, RickyD will f up the Clips like he did in Miami taking WAY too many shots and not caring about making plays to win games.

I disagree with most and I'm gonna say Ricky will do well with the Clips. He'll probably slip into the starting lineup over Gordon & Mobley and fill the void left by Maggette or could back up Thornton/Gordon/Mobley and carry the bench like he's been doing the last couple of years. They really need a go-to guy especially in the 4th to score. yes they got Baron, but Baron will most likely be double-teamed.

after reading the subject thread, is it possible to make a sticky thread about all the transactions that happened and will happen in the offseason, or maybe all the transactions in the NBA, regardless of whether it is offseason, preason, or regular season, and name the thread the official NBA transactions thread??

just a suggestion..
(sorry if i'm redundant with some words)

Look out for Kwame to be traded shortly.

Word is around the league that he will be traded with Minnesota's 2nd rounder and Maxiell for Oden.

He has massive trade value...

 OMG!!! blazers wouldn't make that trade, even if u add kwame in the mix! they're not as stupid! if Oden've played last season and came across franshise plans, so there is a motive to trade him, but he didn't played a single game and potentioally one of the best future centers, so with all the meaning - won't happen!tho maxiell is a beast, but risk is too high! but portland has a lot of bigs, so the don't want to add another undersized big!

What are you talking about? Kwame is a beast! Why else would he get traded for Butler, and then for Gasol?

Go to benji's Empirical Explorations thread so benji can notice your request.

Good point.
Joe Dumars is trying to cash in on the good luck charm known as Kwame Brown.

Well, it's not the most lucrative deal and I doubt they're hoping he'll carry the team.

I liked Kwame even though he was very frustrating to watch. I was actually hoping he'd come back to the Lakers. I've finally come to accept he will never be the player some thought he might have had a chance to become but I thought he'd be a valuable asset on a weak defensive team like the Lakers. I would take him over the current-state Chris Mihm any day.

That being said, sadly, I don't think he'd do much in Detroit. Only time will tell.

You're right, he has proved his worth.

A very serviceable big man. Obviously not worth the #1 pick, but he definitely belongs in the NBA.

A healthy Andrew Bynum is hardly a consolation prize though. The Lakers can do without Kwame around to take minutes away from him.
