I know we have a bulls thread but it's better if we have a seperate thread for this, actually im surprised no one made up.
Well, beasley is the most talented man in this class, 26-10 can translate as 20-8 in the nba, but its clear that the favoritism for Rose is the deciding factor.
Rose.
But either a Deng/hinrich/thomas/beasley/noah/gordon core or a rose/hinrich/gordon/deng/thomas/noah/gooden core is damn good.

Mayo.

Whilst I think the Bulls should select Beasley, I voted for Derrick Rose as I think they'll take him. I'm going to swing on this pick & wait until a day before to make final decisions. In the end, I'll probably swing back to Beasley

Where is other? I have a gut feeling Chicago picks Nathan Jawai.
Mon Jun 16, 2008 4:32 am
Portland's gonna pick Nathan Jawai. Remember? One of their scouts came onto the forum and told us themselves.
As for Chicago's options.. you forgot about the free agency and trade factors. The chances of Chicago re-signing Deng and Gordon are very slim. I'd like to see it happen but it probably won't. The most likely situations are the Bulls re-signing Deng and drafting Rose. Or re-signing Gordon and drafting Beasley, as many people pointed out before. I'd like to see them draft Rose because they already have a PF whose yet to hit his prime. (Tyrus Thomas) But then they'd probably get rid of Hinrich. If the Bulls manage to sign both Deng and Gordon to possibly multi-year contracts, they'll have a young, solid front line:
PG - Derrick Rose
SG - Ben Gordon
SF - Luol Deng
PF - Tyrus Thomas
C - Joakim Noah
Throw in some decent reserves such as Gooden, Hughes and Sefolosha and you have a real talented squad.
After all, I recall the last time the Bulls drafted a guard who wore #23 it worked out in their favor, no?
Mon Jun 16, 2008 4:52 am
I doubt they keep Gordon. Undersized SG's that ask for double their worth = fail. What would they do with Hinrich and his fat contract?
Mon Jun 16, 2008 5:04 am
You never know.. Gordon could evantually come around. I highly doubt it, but you never know!
As for Hinrich, they always have the option of buying him out. Or they could just trade him to another team for a good SG.
Mon Jun 16, 2008 5:10 am
They would be lucky to get Stephon Marbury for Hinrich at this point.
Mon Jun 16, 2008 8:00 am
Seems like it will be Rose, though either scenario seems promising for the Bulls.

Supposedly there's interest in him. If so, I'd say now's a good time to ship him out before that interest dwindles.

neither

id still rather take hinrich over marbury anyday... if u asked me 5 years ago, now thats a different story.

5 years ago was still anyday, just wanted to point that out

Forfeit pick!
I voted Beasley - Chicago doesn't need another guard.
Tue Jun 17, 2008 3:53 pm
chicago doesn't need another undersized 4 either.....
Tue Jun 17, 2008 6:58 pm
Derrick Rose.
Tyrus Thomas hasn't played up to his potential yet. Taking Beasley will have him collecting more bench splinters. Although maybe Del Negro likes Thomas' style. Pax picks Rose and hyper talented Thomas start to produce 15-10 along with 3 blocks consistently.

That would be great if it happened but I'll have to see it to believe it.
Tue Jun 17, 2008 8:02 pm
They should take Beasley, I don't get how after one bad season everyone is riding him Hinrich off. He's been relatively productive in past seasons. But I believe Pax is going to take Rose.

chicago trades its number 1 pick and gordon to miami for wade. miami gets beasley and rose.
yeah. right.
Sat Jun 21, 2008 8:29 pm
If nothing else, that wouldn't work under the cap unless Gordon was signed to a similar deal to Wade.
Sun Jun 22, 2008 1:27 am
which would be fucking ridiculous
Sun Jun 22, 2008 3:45 am
Chicago's problem is that they got of bunch of midrange guys and no all-stars. Since they've got all of the average guys at pretty much every position it doesn't really matter who they draft so they might as well draft the best player available, OJ Mayo.
Sun Jun 22, 2008 5:50 am
I think beasely. just because rose got to the finals doesnt mean that he is better than beasely. rose might have had better supporting cast with him
