NBA Playoffs 2008: (3) Spurs vs. (6) Suns

Thu Apr 17, 2008 2:37 pm

The best series of the first round; potentially the entire playoffs! The Suns have done quite well against the Spurs this season. I don't see the Spurs losing in the first round, but I think it will go to 7.

Thu Apr 17, 2008 2:54 pm

If Amare and Diaw didn't get suspended in the playoffs they shouldn't have won this series. Will have to go to Suns at 7 even thouh the Shaq deal is dumb and Suns leading the season series 3-1

Thu Apr 17, 2008 2:56 pm

How come you never vote in the topics?

Thu Apr 17, 2008 2:58 pm

Yeah just realized that i write but dont vote? lol

Thu Apr 17, 2008 3:00 pm

Spurs are my favorite team, so i will say spurs in 7 haha...but i wouldnt like to see shaq disapointing suns fans so whoever win this series will become my fave team to get the ring

Thu Apr 17, 2008 3:13 pm

I think Suns will take it in 7, but it´s going to be hard and interesting series. Suns looking to get revenge for last year, I think they can do this.

Thu Apr 17, 2008 3:16 pm

I actually think the Shaq trade has worked out quite well for the Suns against the Spurs. They've dominated the Spurs the last 2 matchups with Shaq in the lineup, I'm picking the Suns to win it this year..

Thu Apr 17, 2008 3:25 pm

Hey, why has nobody else voted "lol spurms"?

Suns in 7: it'll be third time lucky. One of them will go into 2OT's at least.

Thu Apr 17, 2008 4:18 pm

Perhaps maybe it's not too funny. But there is another guy who voted for it, not me...

Thu Apr 17, 2008 4:44 pm

Whatever the result will be, it'll be a fantastic series... possibly the pick of them all

Thu Apr 17, 2008 8:44 pm

Defense > Offense
So Spurs in 6.

Thu Apr 17, 2008 9:27 pm

I'm picking the Suns in seven. That's a tall order as it will mean winning the series on the road but that's probably what they'll have to do. It's always difficult (and some would say foolish) to pick against the defending champions when they're in good shape to make another run at winning it all again but all the same I'm predicting that the Suns will get it done this year.

Thu Apr 17, 2008 9:31 pm

Suns in seven. For some season, since 2002 defending champs just can't.. ..well defend their titles.

Thu Apr 17, 2008 10:05 pm

My vote to Suns in seven. Ginobili has had some knee problems, if I remember correctly. And Duncan is not as dominative, as he used to be. Amare is so good since Shaq arrived, who will help a lot.

A little off topic but it has a little bit to do with the Suns and I thought the New Zealanders in the house might enjoy the lower left hand box of today's "Around the Association".

Fri Apr 18, 2008 4:12 am

Fri Apr 18, 2008 4:20 am

I'm picking the Spurs in 7 as well.

Fri Apr 18, 2008 5:05 am

Suns in 6!

The Spurs are a better team in the playoffs... they always showed that but this season they weren't as good as other years in my opinion...

The Kerr O Meter Starts Right NOW! jejejeje

The Duel: Spurs Great Defense vs Suns Shooting
Spurs Balanced Attack + Interior vs Shaq Presence

Suns in 7, it's a tough call actually :|

Fri Apr 18, 2008 12:02 pm

Suns in 6.

Fri Apr 18, 2008 12:17 pm

Wow. The defending champions the underdogs all of the sudden?

Awesome, another Kiwi claimed by Australia. At least Crowded House had a couple of Australian members and was formed in Melbourne.

I'm surprised by that too, I thought I'd be in the minority picking the Suns to win in seven.

Exactly. I still think all ways to the Finals go through the Spurs in the West.
