Tue Apr 15, 2008 1:17 pm

OK, I dont know who's this guy.
Can you be more polite?

Tue Apr 15, 2008 1:18 pm

yeah.. i am one of the portland trail blazers team scouts and we think he will be a force to be reckend with

Tue Apr 15, 2008 1:21 pm

So you think that Portland's scout would go on some random NBA Live forum, with airjordan89 as his username, and say that a guy who is a mid second-rounder will go in the top 10 and is the next Dwight Howard is something worth taking seriously?

Tue Apr 15, 2008 2:12 pm

Then again, he could be the next Adonal Foyle. Who can really say.

Tue Apr 15, 2008 2:17 pm

He is 39th projected. This is a joke.

Don't mess with airjordan89, he's a force to reckend with in a fight!

Tue Apr 15, 2008 2:42 pm

Wait to go mr. pro-scout! Er, why does the Blazer need another Center after cutting Darius Miles? And Oden ready to play next season???

Tue Apr 15, 2008 2:51 pm

Maybe because this one isnt just ANOTHER center... this is the "next DWIGHT HOWARD"

Tue Apr 15, 2008 3:37 pm

Mr. "I am the Portland Trailblazers Scout", try using proper spelling/grammer if you want to convince people you are actually working for a professional NBA team.

Do not hesitate to draft Mr. Nathan Jawai in your fantasy Blazers team. You are probably only looking for advise and attention anyway.

Guys, why all of a sudden we are all calling each other retarded? Is this the new internet fad?

Tue Apr 15, 2008 3:40 pm

no, that's actually been quite the fad for the last 10 years or so. it could also easily be replaced with "gay". i.e. "that's so retarded/gay"

Quick! Someone e-mail the Internet's Admin!

Tue Apr 15, 2008 3:44 pm

JT_55 not knowing the internets lingo is so retarded.

Tue Apr 15, 2008 3:45 pm

yeah how gay is that?

I still love you Axel.

Tue Apr 15, 2008 3:59 pm

I'm not retarded, guys. I know internet lingo. Just that for some reason there have been more people calling each other retarded in the past week in this forum. Just something I noticed...

Anyway, to get back on topic...

Wouldn't it be funny if the Blazers did somehow draft Jawai and he turned out to post Howard-like stats? Thinking about it, the fact where the Blazers draft him isn't that much of a long shot, he is projected 39th, only if they would get him, it would be in the second round.

Double posting. How retardedly ghey.

on-topic: I bet Bogut can massacre that guy when they play against each other. Andrew Bogut has more chance being the next Dwight Howard than that guy.

Tue Apr 15, 2008 5:18 pm

I prefer to look at it like Dwight Howard is the Nathan Jawai before his time.

Sofa King.

Tue Apr 15, 2008 5:56 pm

I don't know about him having an immediate impact or truly being the next Shaq or Dwight Howard but I hope he does get drafted and succeeds in the NBA.

Tue Apr 15, 2008 6:47 pm

after watching Jawai play, for some reason, a more athletic Kendrick Perkins comes to mind....

Tue Apr 15, 2008 9:40 pm

I haven't seen him play but I've had a glance at his stats from the last NBL season He's in the top twenty in points (17.7 ppg, 17th), rebounds (9.6 rpg 3rd), blocks (1 bpg, 9th) and field goal percentage (57.5%, 5th) so he's doing alright by NBL standards. I don't think that translates into an immediate impact in the NBA. Once again though, I hope he does succeed.

Wed Apr 16, 2008 12:11 am

How many players have been drafted out of the NBL and actually gone on to PLAY in the NBA?

I can only think of Anstey. I'm sure Paul Rogers and Ben Pepper were drafted, but they've never actually played.
