The first series that we know we'll get is upon us. No surprise it's Cleveland vs Washington part III.
This time, I'll take Washington regardless of HC advantage.
*note* Washington can claim HC if they win their remaining 2 games, and Cle loses their remaining to games.....otherwise Cle has HC

What about ATL/BOS?
I pick Cavs in 7. Wizards will put up an excellent fight, but the Cavs will best them in the deciding game 7.
Mon Apr 14, 2008 1:11 pm
I dont know, its not easy to beat lebron, we all know what he did last year. My vote goes for Cavs in 6 games...
Mon Apr 14, 2008 1:44 pm
The Cavs have been off their game all season. They still have yet to get their act together. The Wizards on the other hand have played inspired in the face of injures, and now are regaining strength. The development of young players + the addition of Agent 0 leads me to pick Washington in 6
Mon Apr 14, 2008 2:12 pm
a healthy Cavs team should win in 7.
they need Ben Wallace for the D though. otherwise, Washington could easily steal it.
Mon Apr 14, 2008 9:54 pm
Gilbert and Caron are back, but not at full speed just yet IMO.
LeBron has a knack for exploding in the playoffs (cough*cough*Detroit*cough)
And so does Boobie Gibson.. so my vote goes to Cavs in 6.

Have to go Cavs in 7, cuz LeBron is just amazing in PO, although I would like Washington to win. Still gonna be interesting matchup.
Tue Apr 15, 2008 1:20 am
Wiz. will take it in 6, Arenas will clutch CAVS out..
Tue Apr 15, 2008 6:05 am
Man LeBron Plays amazing i dont think Arenas or Jamison or Butler can stop him.Now when Wallace is there its the Cavs that are going to win it for sure
Tue Apr 15, 2008 8:39 am
Something tells me Washington in 6. I don't know why, just a gut feeling
Tue Apr 15, 2008 11:20 am
I'm predicting that LeBron's brilliance will be enough to get the Cavaliers past the first round, but there'll be no upsets to follow. Cavaliers in six.
Wed Apr 16, 2008 7:32 pm
I vote for washington at 7. Might be a hard fought series
Fri Apr 18, 2008 4:25 am
cavs in 7
Fri Apr 18, 2008 12:03 pm
WSH IN SEVEN.
Sat Apr 19, 2008 12:23 am
Washington is too strong for the cavs this time. Sorry LeBron.
Sat Apr 19, 2008 11:42 am
The refs will be too much for the Wizards to handle.
Sun Apr 20, 2008 9:45 am
Cavs win game 1 93 to 86

This was true today. Talk about shit. Lebron, Big Z travel and dont get called. But when Caron Butler doesnt, he gets called.
That 3 by arenas was insane though. I thought that was more spectacular than the lebron dunk. But you know, jumping high and hitting a rim is more spectacular than shooting a 30 foot bomb for a swish because its bron king of all kings.
Sun Apr 20, 2008 9:57 pm
Not necessarily more spectacular, but both highlights were awesome in their own right; the dunk because of the elevation and the way LeBron had to reach back and get it and the shot because Arenas made it look so effortless.

i dont understand why everyone keep comparing this series to the one from last season. the cavs got a whole new team now, a much better team imo. the wizards are good are can still win the series but calling out lebron wont get it done. 1 for 9 after running your mouth wont get it done.
Mon Apr 21, 2008 11:14 am
I thought that was a bit of an ill-advised remark for Deshawn Stevenson to make as well. It's one thing to be confident and trash talk is part of the game, but that crossed the line between trash talk and simply talking rubbish. I doubt Stevenson is going to get into LeBron's head, particularly after following up his comments with such a lacklustre game.
Tue Apr 22, 2008 11:50 am
well the cavs just handed the wiz one hell of a beat down and had plenty of taunts to throw stevensons way. even the plays in at garbage time were takeing shots at him lol
Tue Apr 22, 2008 11:56 am
My guess is that Stevenson is looking for a big enough rock to hide under right about now...
This wasn't even a basketball game, more like a practice.
