Where is Dennis Rodman now?
Was Isaiah Rider good?
Anyone got stats for Muggsy Bouges?

Tue Mar 11, 2003 5:12 pm

The first one is somewhat difficult to answer. The most accurate answer is probably "nowhere near returning to the NBA". There was talk that his former teammate Isiah Thomas would bring him back, but that was speculation by Rodman and his associates, not Thomas or the Pacers.

Isaiah Rider had a few good years in the league IMHO. Definitely another case of lack of commitment on the court and issue off the court ruining what could have been a better than average NBA career. He wore out his welcome due to his attitude and behaviour, not through diminished skills. I guess you could say he lived up to the expectations as far as the evolution and development of his game, but I think he was expected (by most) to sustain that level of performance (and usefulness) for much longer than he did (9 seasons).

You can check out Muggsy's career stats [urlhttp://www.nba.com/playerfile/muggsy_bogues/]here[/url]. Random stat: In 889 games, standing only 5'3", Muggsy blocked 39 shots. I'd kinda like to see all 39 of those blocks as a highlight reel. :D

39 blocks....that's good :D but it's bad for the other player
if some 5'3 guy block my shot....

thats a point, where is Isaiah Rider now? does anyone know.
+ what league's are quincy lewis, tyrone nesby, dana barros playing in?

Mon Mar 17, 2003 11:32 am

I think Lewis is in Europe somewhere.

Mon Mar 17, 2003 9:41 pm

And where is Chris Carrawell and Chris Porter :?:

Mon Mar 17, 2003 11:37 pm

I may say a mistake but I reckoin that Muggsy Bogues once blocked ... Patrick Ewing. I read it on a magazine hé, not saw it :(

Tyrone Nesby : Signed with Olimpia Larissa (Greece) in November 2002.

And what about Ousmane Cisse ? Darius Songaala ? Marcus Taylor ? Khalid El-Amin ? Scoonie Penn ?

Is Bogues retired for good by the way ? And are Bill Wennington and Vinny Del Negro too ?

Mon Mar 17, 2003 11:45 pm

What about one of my fave players; Tim Hardaway?

theres a lot of blasts from the past on there.

john wallace!!
he was like one of my best players at the knicks.
he was doing well with the suns, dont know why he left

Tue Mar 18, 2003 10:11 am

John Wallace, so many saying that he was one of the best of that draft to do nothing. I also blame the Knicks organization for not letting him get his minutes tho.

Tue Mar 18, 2003 3:29 pm

With teams out there like the Nuggies, how can Tyrone Nesby not get a contract?? :?

Tue Mar 18, 2003 5:35 pm

I was wondering what happened to Jaren Jackson and Vernon Maxwell the other day... can't remember if either retired officially? I was thinking of a couple of other players as well but they've slipped my mind now...

Tue Mar 18, 2003 5:55 pm

Jaren Jackson played a few games for the Magic last year. Guess no one's wanted/needed him this year. Mad Max has probably played his last game in the NBA (24 games for Philly back in 2000/2001).

Tue Mar 18, 2003 9:47 pm

man... it ssure wird to see those players on eday in nba th enext somewhere in europe and you dont even hear about it....

i've heard that Tim Hardaway was a commentator for TV but now he's training with the Pacers he may sign in order to fill Tinsley's injury

Wed Mar 19, 2003 4:08 am

greg anthony works for ESPN now

Wed Mar 19, 2003 10:08 am

Tim & Greg Anthony are working for ESPN.

bballer wrote:coz im sure that tim's jersey will be retired

Why are you so sure? and who would retire that jersey?, of course he was a great player, but he lead the league in nothing, never won a championship, maybe Denver would retire his jersey but I doubt it. His best years were back with the Warriors and I don't think they even remember him. And Miami would prefer retiring Rony Seikaly's, Glen Rice's, Steve Smith's, Sherman Douglas's jerseys before than Tim's.

If you retire every good player jersey, I guess you will run out of numbers, specially the Celtics.

That is soooo right

I guess Jazz and Suns wanted desperately someone to retire his jersey cause Majerle and Hornacek  I mean, they were good above average players but if you start retiring jerseys of players like those, you will run out of numbers by 2025-2030

Wed Mar 19, 2003 1:27 pm

lol... how many jersey numbers have Miami retired??
Tim Hardaway was one of the best point guards in the league when in his prime. The Heat aren't a very old franchise, and I doubt they've retired many (if any) numbers... I would say that Timmy was better than Horny and Thunder Dan.

Wed Mar 19, 2003 3:28 pm

I agree.

Wed Mar 19, 2003 4:33 pm

tim hardaway deserves his number to be retired by golden state
he was the best point guard of the 1990's and 3rd best guard overall behind michael jordan and clyde drexler

Wed Mar 19, 2003 5:42 pm

As much a Golden State fan as I am, I don't agree Tim Hardaway is the best point guard of the 90s... I'd say Gary Payton.

Wed Mar 19, 2003 11:31 pm

1. Tim Hardaway
2. Kevin Johnson
3. Gary Payton

Thu Mar 20, 2003 4:58 pm

1. Gary Payton
2. John Stockton
3. Tim Hardaway
