I heard some news that the cleveland and sacramento were planning to trade mike bibby before the trade deadline. When this happen im sure the cavaliers will reach the finals
Tue Feb 13, 2007 7:12 pm
and i've heard that they could get j kidd! it depends on him, but 99% that he will leave nets! he thinks bout LALA or Cle!
Tue Feb 13, 2007 7:38 pm
Barring a buyout, the only way Jason Kidd can leave the Nets is through a trade and Rod Thorn has stated he
won't be making any deals unless he gets an offer too good to refuse. Bibby to Cleveland also
seems unlikely at this point.

yeah j-kidd to cle

I tried that in my dynasty in exchange for larry and snow. I have a 73-9 standing and a championship.

Kidd to cleveland (for hughes) wouldn't change much..Cavs would practically become the Nets:
Z = Krstic
Gooden + James = Jefferson + Carter (not quite the same position-wise, but the talent combined is the same)
Bench:
Pavlovic, Marshall = Nachbar, Marcus ..
All preety same situation to me..

Bibby is not a good fit for Cleveland

Gooden and Jefferson? Marcus Williams and Donyell Marshall? You've got to be kidding me. They all have different types of play, you can't really compare them.
But anyway, J. Kidd and Lebron would be one hell of a combo. Kidd practically brought life into the Nets franchise, bringing them to the Finals twice. Sure that was a while ago, but imagine what he could do with Lebron. I think the Nets problem is, just like my Knicks, they have two of the same player with Carter and Jefferson. If the Nets can't keep the game fast paced they are screwed. The problem with the Cavs is they have no real 2nd scoring option, or floor general to compliment LBJ. Larry Hughes isn't half the player that Kidd is, and thats why I couldn't really see the trade happening (or the Bibby one). Who does Cleveland have that they could give up, and another team would be intrested in?

Seriously
I can not see the cavs going to a 73-9 only by adding J-Kidd

You're missing my point. I'm not talking about players individual talent, but how they contribute to their team.
You're talking how Kidd & James would be one hell of a combo. You've got "one hell of a combo" in Kidd & Carter, and you see how they're doing. I'm not saying Kidd isn't good anymore, I'm saying you need better teammates to be a contender. I think that with the addition of Kidd, the Cavs wouldn't improve drastically. They'll stick lack outside shooting and bench (although i like how Pavlovic's improving). Right now I see the Cavs in the Eastern Conference behind Detroit, Wizards, Heat (and maybe Bulls) fighting for 4th spot in the playoffs. Not to mention they're still behind Western leaders (Suns, Mavs, Jazz etc..). And with the addition of Kidd, they're still not better than these teams (MAYBE Wizards/Bulls)..

Yeah, a trade like that might pose a threat for Detroit in the playoffs. Not a good fit at all.

If Jason kidd was smart he'd go play with Kobe

No he wouldnt. Kobe wants to be a one man show and J-Kidd wouldnt allow that. Kobe gets upset and the last thing the lakers want to do is upset kobe

If they do not give Ilgauskas, Hughes, Gooden in this deal then its very good for them.
Wed Feb 14, 2007 10:25 am
This topic title should have a ? in it. I actually thought this was for real. This trade wouldn't surprise me much since the Kings suck, and the Cavs need a competent PG. While I don't see this happening, a Snow + Donyell + pick for Bibby trade I could see.

j-kidd averaging 18.3 a game 8 reb and 12.6 assist in my dynasty while lebron 30 a game, 6.7 boards and 8.8 assist

And what did Cleveland offer to the Maloofs to give up Bibby? I don't see anything the Kings would want other than LBJ, who's obviously untouchable.

actually, if the Cavs were to get a PG then let it be Bibby. His game is dependant on skillful big men and motion in the offense.....Cavs have neither. He's more of a scorer than a set up guy, and Cavs need the opposite. They should be begging for Andre Miller back.
Wed Feb 14, 2007 11:32 am
well that cavs was still thinking. mike bibby said that he thinks the reason why the kings wants to trade him bec. he's not shooting ball very welll earl in thge season.

LOL, yeah right, Jason kidd is no ball hog and he would fit in fine with the Lakers, I'm tired of hearing that lame excuse
Wed Feb 14, 2007 1:29 pm
Kobe is a real MVP candidate now. He has become an unselfish player and getting the young guys to take more shots. Smush hasn't done shit for the Lakers this season and Kidd could be a good addition to the Lakers, but it's hard to see him in the gold and yellow.

Cavaliers focked up when they didn't sign Joe Johnson

now they trying to fix their stupidity
