DENVER -- Denver Nuggets forward/center Marcus Camby, sidelined all season following hip surgery, started Friday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers but was injured 17 seconds into the game.
Camby
Camby returned to the game at the start of the second quarter, grabbing a rebound and then hitting a baseline jumper.
After picking up a quick foul in the first quarter, Camby collided with a Cleveland player following a free throw and limped off the court, apparently injuring his ankle.
He hobbled to the locker room moments later.
If Camby ever plays 82 games during the regular season in his career I'll...uh...be very surprised.

Camby gets injured watching others play. 82 games is way too much, he plays 17 seconds and decided to take a rest, lol. I think any wheelchair player can stand for more than that and shoot the ball.

Feels sad for Marcus injured AGAIN! the former Knick is struggling not only with his injury but on the sidelines too.

Camby has actually been playing of late - too little, too late for Denver, but maybe he can continue this trend of actually making an appearance on the court into next season. If the Nuggets were able to draft LeBron, and continue to get productive minutes out of guys like Camby, Williams, Nene and Tskitishvili (maybe even keep Howard around at a reduced salary) they could have a decent starting five and sixth man - but the less said about the rest, the better.

If Marcus Camby ran into Grant Hill, would they both just explode?

Maybe that's the real reason New York traded him. The Knicks and the Magic meet four times a year.
