MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Timberwolves signed guard Darrick Martin to a 10-day contract on Friday.

This is Martin's third stint with the Wolves. He has played in 399 NBA games over five seasons with Minnesota, Vancouver, the Los Angeles Clippers, Sacramento and Dallas. Martin has averaged eight points, 1.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists a game.

His best season came in 1996-97, when he averaged 10.9 points and 4.1 assists with the Clippers.

This year, Martin played 20 games in the CBA with Yakima and Sioux Falls, averaging 18.3 points and 7.3 assists.

He also won the 2003 CBA Finals MVP and should've won the 1996-97 MIP over Isaac Austin.

I remember Martin torched John Stockton and the Jazz during a game in LA in the 96-97 season and the Clippers won. I think he had like 38 points and double digit assists. He'll be a nice backup for Sam Cassell.

Troy Hudson is currently on the injured list, I dont know what injury he sufferd. AllI know is that the Wolves should keep him after the great play-offs performance he showed against the Lakers
