Cavs shock Pistons

Fri Dec 12, 2003 9:58 pm

The cavs upset detroit last night. 86-95. After allowing rip hamilton to score 44 points 2 weeks ago they held him to just 19.

Lebron had 23, 3 rebounds, 9 assists.
Boozer chipped in with a career high of 28.

Cleveland led by as many as 17(i think) untill a few Detroit 3's closed the gap. Cleveland held on for the W.

Lebron is king of basketball. Cavs will win championship becoz kobe is horse.

The Pistons are ruining Darko. It's a shame if he becomes the next player whose confidence is shot because he gets no court time and rides the bench for a couple of years. Shame he's not on a team which isn't full of descent big guys.

nah dude, I wasn't taking the piss out of your post with my heidi impersonation. As soon as I saw a Cavs/Lebron thread, I just felt the heidi in me rise, and I had to release my heidism! :D

I wouldn't say the Cavs "shocked" the Pistons...the Pistons have been playing like crap and another team broke out of the dredges and had a good game against them...they survived the last game thanks to Rip's 44 which was the biggest fluke I've seen in a while...Rip usually gets right around 20, no more, no less...so the Cavs pitiful defense didn't shut him down like you claim...the failure was the bench, Okur, who they have been relying on to win games went cold and that killed them...also Billups and Atkins were in no condition to guard LeBron, they're bad defenders and now they have to guard a guy built like a Power Forward? Especially 5-10, 160 pound Atkins...bad decision making on Larry Brown's part...Boozer's 28 isn't surprising, he always gets it going against the Pistons because of Ben Wallace...Wallace always wanders into the paint to swat shots or get rebounds, thus if his man has a mid-range jumper (and Boozer's is sweet) he's going to rack up the points...he's just like Rodman in that respect...

no surprise here, Pistons dropped another this time to the Sonics, thats 4 i think. Every season they have a crappy run like this but against stronger teams. Oh well, Memo needs to find his shot again and things will be sweet
